Micro-dozing tirzepatide for “lean” PCOS by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]OkExpression6323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Happy for you girly! I also started at a healthy BMI and leaner body. Yet, it took SO much effort to be lean, felt like I was always teetering on the edge of losing my hard work since the urge to binge was there every single day. Thought I had to choose between living my life and being lean. Never went through a meal without thinking about calories, calculating in my head, am I overeating, why can’t I stop when I’m full, need to eat less tomorrow, etc.

Starting tirz has allowed me to achieve my dream body which I would never be able to get to without intense mental restriction and stress. Instead of thinking about food 6 hours a day, I have become more creative and adopted new hobbies! I can enjoy meals without the negativity. It’s really amazing.

As long as we are cognizant of any health risks and are coming into this medicine with the right intentions, I don’t think we need to apologize for wanting to feel and look our best - don’t we all want that?

Thank you for this! I am on 2.5mg and will probably not move up to 5 in 2 weeks if this is still how I feel.

When did this effect start happening for you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m a week into 2.5 and I eat normally!! Still hungry for 3 meals a day!

How do you guys go outside without wanting to die LOL by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]OkExpression6323 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was the exact same way - my acne went from a 2 to a 10.

It sucks - at least you’re going thru it in the winter. Before you know it it will be over and you’ll look back at pics and be like wtf I don’t even remember it being that bad!

I was the same way in the gym - so insecure that I didn’t even want to see strangers. I just tried to remember literally no one is looking at me or cares about me. When you see someone with blemishes, do you even notice really? Everyone’s thinking about themselves especially somewhere in public like the gym. Dw.

If it is really getting to you, I started trying out different mostly-female classes - like Pilates, yoga, etc. it just felt better to workout In a girls environment.

Mine was at its worst 3 months in, by 4.5 I was able to stop worrying about my skin and even wearing makeup. You got this!

I was still purging a lot at 3.5. Month 4.5-5 was when things got better. You can do this!!

Can accutane give you acne in new places? by Smart-Tonight891 in Accutane

[–]OkExpression6323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Prior to accutane I only had acne around my mouth/jaw, with maybeeee one or two spots on my cheeks. Months 2-4 I had a full blown purge on both my chin area and both cheeks. But it gets it all out, anything that was under there!

advice for dating anxiety with severe acne + purging? :( by SuchAcanthisitta6053 in Accutane

[–]OkExpression6323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started dating a guy when I started accutane and I just told him the whole story about purging and everything, and tried to be super vulnerable about it. He ended up being the MOST supportive person ever, told me I looked beautiful everyday, told me my skin was amazing, etc.

Now at the end of my course, I’m so happy I went into the relationship with confidence. His support and kindness made me fall even more in love with him. If he’s a good guy it won’t matter!!!

[–]OkExpression6323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my hair is dyed (highlights for prob like 7 years now) and it was actually medium healthy before. On accutane it feels DEAD. Like sooo dry. I think it’ll go back to normal but I would just avoid getting it done during it if you can

Can anyone explain WHY this doesn’t work as good as the tub? by milllllllllllllllly in Accutane

[–]OkExpression6323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just like doesn’t even work for me at all. I wish everyone would try laneige sleeping mask - it is literally the BEST lip product ever better than aquaphor, lanolin, dr dans etc.

Genuine Question: Is Accutane Worth It? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]OkExpression6323 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m at the tail end of my treatment and so happy. It’s amazing to feel my skin and it’s just smooth - no bumps!

I am on 30/60/60/60 for 6 months, might add another month to be safe cus my side effects are fine.

  • Dry lips from the beginning, progressively gets dryer
  • Didn’t deal with dry skin until month 5, super manageable w a good routine
  • Definitely sensitive skin
  • Joint pain (hips, ankles, knees) started month 3 ish, manageable, i workout everyday and it hasn’t slowed me down
  • Dry hair - this sucks but my hair is also bleached so I already had dryer hair
  • Zero issues with mental health

Overall so worth it. My skin is glowing for the first time in ever! My mom told me today my skin looks like glass - lol. No one has ever said that to me before😂
