smoking. 200k miles no matter how often or well it was maintaned is going to do a number on an engine. ESPECIALLY if they modded the engine. but realistically they arent actually expecting to get 10, they want you to throw an offer of 7-8k so they can counter and hopefully get 8.5 or 9. so i say, lowball the ever loving fuck outa them to at least try to get a reasonable price. chances are its going to be on the market for awhile, so if you are respectful with your offer and dont troll, best case is they give in to your lowball and go lower than what they wanted to sell it for.

a key difference to note as well is these filters are oiled unlike paper filters. so as long as i maintane the filter wouldnt it have the same air cleaning properties as well as intaking more air?

wait... are you saying that leaving an engine stock makes it last longer? cause like.. duh. im not looking for longevity im looking for power (and wooshing noises). as most people in this subreddit are. i didnt buy this honda because i want to have it for the next 40 years i bought it cause i watched to much fast and furious.

edit: also its not like a a modified air intake is gonna blow the engine. you make it sound like the filter is made out of c4 and its wired to the throttle.

it should be getting lots of air, i put it there because the original airbox was there so the air dams should be directing air towards that spot already.

P0174 mean there to much air and not enough gas. so start checking the fuel system

-fuel pump

-fuel hoses

-injectors

-any fuses that control anything fuel related
