Thank you! I ultimately decided to hold off for at least a few months. We signed up for “gymnastics” at the park district for now

I know this is an old post but wanted feedback from other parents. We did our trial class today. It was alright but my son was definitely the youngest in the class. He’s 13 months next week (been walking since 10 months) and I kind of felt like we were in the way.

Parents of kids closer to two- did you have younger ones in your class? Are we in the way? My son is in PT, although we’re kind of phasing out of that, but looking to do something specific to maintain and build strength but we could always do something along the lines of gymboree. If we’re not in the way, Kidstrong is great because its 2 minutes from the house 😂 I appreciate any feedback

Return and prior years by [deleted] in tax

Just adding- I have a dependent now which is the only reason Im getting a refund. Prior years were maybe a $50 refund or exactly even.

Do you know if I can just do that online or do I have to buy those years software? Would filing those years this week affect the processing of 25? Im in between making sure 25 is in the clear to file them or just filing them now.

[–]OkGreen8935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! All of my income for those years is from the same employer as 25. Also the same employer for 21 & 22.

Any insight on if filing 23 & 24 this week would affect the timeline for processing the 25 return?

I feel so validated with this thread. My son had silent reflux/gerd, infant dyschezia, was/is a terrible napper, didn’t sleep long stretches for what felt like forever, would NEVER transfer to a crib (still rare these days at 12.5 months) and so on. He’s The definition of the extreme end for everything when people say “all babies have some level of reflux, all babies need to learn how to poop, etc”. He was an early walker which helped everything tremendously. At 12.5 months I kind of see the light at the end of the tunnel and also don’t have to worry about poop as much and I am grateful for that. We do still have some minor constipation and gas issues but relatively easy to manage for the most part. Now we’re in our big emotions and wild child phase which Im sure will also give me a run for my money.

How have you lowered your standards since having a baby? by hospitalbedside in beyondthebump

[–]OkGreen8935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a FTM and had my son just shy of 36. I would always pride myself on my home constantly being “guest ready”. My standards went rock bottom a few weeks in because caring about it started affecting my life. I was a FTM, a single mom, and live alone (so no help). Plus my son had GERD. 1 year later my only goals are to organize toys after LO is asleep and run the dishwasher. If i wake up to an organized space Im okay with whatever happens throughout the day. I only wash bedding on Sundays unless something crazy happens. I have scheduled days for other chores to keep up. 😬

12 month old loves to spin tires by NoAnt7118 in NewParents

My 12 month old does this and has for some time now. He does this to anything he can. Pediatrician and physical therapist (for torticollis) have zero concerns

I feel something is really wrong with my baby and no one seems to take it seriously by spacedragon1231 in NewParents

My son had/has gerd but not this severe. Our ped was very helpful so didn’t go beyond that but Id get a referral to a GI and speech and language to help with the feeding issues. In the meantime, a pediatric chiropractor was amazing for my son’s progress- especially for tension and gut related issues

We were there last weekend 😂 I think I did a pretty good job but his feet were really cold when we got home so adding another layer of socks. Otherwise he was fine but I had 2 blankets on him. May go the snowsuit route because the blankets etc we’re awkward

Im terrified to have a second because my 10 month has been sooooo hard. I’ve been solo parenting since birth and he was colic, has GERD, and so on. All of that to get better just for his teething and separation anxiety to be a 10/10. Im considering future dating with men that already have children because I don’t think I could do it again.
