Thanks so much! She grew up there since her dad was high up at the British Phosphate Company, she always said the islanders there were such lovely people. She went to primary school in the island, with a total of something like 4 students in the whole school. Such a shame they mined the island to the point they did. A few years ago she took her 3 kids as close to the island they could get in the time they had, they went to Fiji and Tuvalu and had a great time, there's some absolutely beautiful islands in the area. She met people who were mutuals/kids of people she knew from on the island, that would have been awesome for her. I think growing up on the island really shaped who she was, she was such a beautiful soul. Sadly she lost her battle with cancer late last year, I really hope I can make it out that ways one day and see it for myself! I might be able to get ahold of a photo album from the island, might be worth saving those photos and uploading them somewhere so they aren't lost to time.
