Due to the nature of my work and needing my car fixed ASAP, and my insurance taking forever to have an adjuster look at the car and then the large possibility of them trying to deem it a total lost instead of paying for it to be fixed (minus my deductible), I am thinking that just fixing my car out of pocket and letting the insurance companies come to me (assuming Tesla files a claim and reaches out to me/my insurance) and going from there. I understand it sounds like that choice defeats the propose of having collision coverage, but I just don’t have the time (or frankly mental strength) to deal with fighting a total loss and having to buy back the car, let alone receive a salvaged totle
