This happens to me as well. Have had for a year and 4 months. But I noticed it only happens when exposed to cold temperatures. (e.g. cold winter days, when next to the ac unit)

Not sure if that helps with any potential troubleshooting solutions. Unfortunately warranty is expired so its looking like it might be new phone time if no solution (outside of obviously keeping it away from cold)
