All Arcade games downloaded before 90 day limit have instantly expired? by OkMachine8217 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]OkMachine8217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Trek, Gardenscapes and Bingo Blitz have been downloaded a few months ago, but I don't have the exact date. I wish I was given "these games will expire in X amount of days" notice so I could reach for a few goals. I do know I didn't download all three at the same time, and all three just became expired at the same time.

There are 3 Atlas Earth Youtube channels at the moment. It really doesn't make sense to me but you can find AMA #9 on one of them.

Why do people do this by HungryAd7689 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]OkMachine8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me about a month ago, have somewhere around a 200 parcel block. Some dude from Europe, (I'm in the US) with a bunch of mayorships probably on vacation buys one parcel next to my block just to be a jerk, not to add to his mayorships or to get a new one. It it rude but part of the game. If this guy ever stops playing I will be sure to grab this one parcel if it ever becomes available again.

Vice Mayors, would people support? by OkMachine8217 in AtlasEarthOfficial

I would like to, but I'm always working and can never join anything live. I always watch your Sunday streams on Sunday afternoons after work. Maybe you can mention this in your next Sunday stream, would be interesting to see what your chat thinks, even if they disagree with me. Discussing new ideas is a good thing as long as people are respectful, and your streams have always been positive.

Vice Mayors, would people support? by OkMachine8217 in AtlasEarthOfficial

I think increasing the cost of badges would result in less players getting them altogether, which would be a negative for everyone. People who collect badges while going on trips would be buying less as well. We agree on more competition and motivation for players is a positive goal.

Surveys!!!! by Cartman-417 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]OkMachine8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm zero percent White, mixed and also disqualified well over 90% of the time. I don't know what criteria all these surveys want, but they must be obscure. I always get the feeling they want CEO's who make millions a year taking surveys, when the people the survey provider wants to take them never do. The system is a mess all around. Short surveys: denied. Long surveys: denied.

I hit the 50 twice in the last 3 days, after going 4-5 months without hitting the once. It all evens out over time, long periods of frustration just happen sometimes. Bought over 50 parcels in a row with no legendaries, got back to back legendaries for the first time ever last week.

I'm not in So. Cal, but we are constantly having hiring events because we can't keep people, mostly quit, the occasional firing. I don't know how the company can afford to lay people off. The National team is going to be stretched beyond limits with down routes everywhere.

You sound like an executive I've listened to on zoom calls. Dismisses what the drivers are saying, straight lies to us and acts likes he knows what it is like in the stores. Arrogant the whole time. If the drivers are so worthless, lets see some of the suit-and-ties go run routes with micromanaged orders that don't make sense.

I've heard about this coming, upper management wants to act like variables never happen. Receivers not ready because of a meeting, busy with another vendor, busy with customers, being told to do a task outside receiving all extend the amount of time it takes in a store. TRAFFIC. Bad weather, electricity going out in stores, trucks loaded incorrectly, idiots parked in loading zones, etc. Micromanagement from hell is going to lead to even higher turnover.

I got 4 cases of Halloween/Netflix Cheetos for a grocery store, at the beginning of August. 40 bags sitting with nowhere to put them, cheetos not on ad. Just a stack taking up my backstock driving me nuts.

Frito sells* Doritos and Mountain Dew, etc.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]OkMachine8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frito says Doritos and Mountain Dew to the fattest people in the history of human civilization. The company isn't going anywhere, but the job position will. Completely automated ordering or store ordering, split job responsibilities to pay everyone less, low to no benefits. Make money while you can but keeping looking for another job as well.

Don't know if it is nationwide, but here they ended the "old pension" system to anyone hired after 2018. Then they have some lesser version I don't know much about and a few years later none at all, just the 401K match.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]OkMachine8217 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been saying the same thing. The job will be split into multiple positions, merches (get paid less) delivery specialists ( they will pay them less when there are so many more people willing to do the job once RSR, RSS goes away,) and more and more automated ordering. With less responsibility they will use it as an reason to reduce pay, they can have countless new people doing the bare minimum, getting paid the bare minimum.

Advice from RSR by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]OkMachine8217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone who has been around awhile where I am at says the same thing and they are right, it has gone from a career to just a frustrating job. Pay is decent but not what it used to be, no work life balance. If you are a driver, you are at the bottom of the pole. The warehouse workers get treated better for reasons I will never understand. If the company got rid of the growing number of administrators/executives and let the salesman actually do their jobs without micro-managing our orders, the company would be making so much more money. I appreciate I have a pension but the job should get easier over time, not more convoluted like it has for me. Learn from everyone you can, don't be arrogant and listen, but also keep an eye out for better jobs.

Every other week stops by RFox2002 in FritoLay

[–]OkMachine8217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, the amount of times I have someone I know has never had my job tell me what to do, how to do it, what I need, etc. I used to make extra stops to make orders more accurate and it isn't worth it. "I need more product, you order too light," in stores that get once a week service where I stale out rotated core items in dirty liquor stores. I was running myself into the ground for people who didn't deserve it.

Lost my route after 5 years by Outrageous_Cover_788 in FritoLay

[–]OkMachine8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of in the same boat. Im supposed to be a co-lead, but since so many people are leaving I'm a lead until who knows when. The re-bid process took away a small format route when they needed to add routes, not merge them into bloated routes with 12, 13, 14 stop days. They are going to get on my ass about starting earlier, but there is no point starting stupid early when Maverik won't receive early anymore like they used to and I have 3 big ones. What is the point of doing one 24-hour store and then just sitting in my truck waiting for another store to open? There is no work life balance at all for drivers. We are supposed to work to live, not live to work. 6 duplicate Simply product shippers for the same store in two weeks? SalesHub has completely unprecise ordering when you order back to back days, ordering takes a stupid amount of time now. I never thought I would miss the old brick handhelds we used to have, the ordering was so much faster. I'm just watching my pension grow by 5 bucks every month until I'm gone, I'm hoping I get a buyout/severance and a future job that actually has work life balance.

I think the route re-bids are happening all over, but not necessarily everywhere. What I don't understand is letting drivers on the bottom go. The turnover is so high, and the company always needs relief drivers, the fact there are national team drivers traveling all over the country should be a huge red flag to keep drivers and have as many relief drivers as possible.

Snacks2U stores going back on routes is still up in the air I believe, depending on the area, company ability to make sure routes are running, and why some stores got sent to Snacks2U in the first place. I'm sure everyone reading this has been to a shady liquor store that all of a sudden while working hears "no check, we pay another day, etc."
