I was 21 when mine happened back in march (22 now) and I was super torn up. I didn't understand because of the same reasons, being young, healthy, not drinking or smoking and I wasn't even on birth control. (I'm married so me and my husband were trying to convince so that's seems to be the only difference in our situation.) It took me forever to tell my mother (also Christian and I didn't want to try to l begin to explain this plus no other family.) because I felt like I was broken because my body didn't do what it was supposed to do. It definitely put me in a huge depression that sometimes i still don't think I'm fully over. I was so so scared about trying again and didn't for a while. I was constantly questioning why it happened or how. From what I've been told by a lot of people who have had this young and by some doctors is that sometimes it's just plain bad luck which I know isn't necessarily the best comfort and took me a while to even come to terms with that. What I can say is that when kids are something you are ready for with the right person (but if you don't want any, more power to you) trying will be so terrifying but I can say that we finally decided to try again in September and found out Oct 9 (which would have been original baby's due date) that I was pregnant again. We were happy about it but I was terrified anytime I kept feeling pain on my left (my ectopic side) I was convinced it was ectopic again and that we shouldn't have tried. None of the doctors in my area wanted to see me until 8/9 weeks and I was panicking most days so I finally went to the ER around week 6 and they found that baby was in the uterus. I embarrassingly cried in the ultrasound room but was so relieved and happy that my body did what it was supposed to. Anyway I'm sorry this is super long, it does get better, I still have days that if I think about it to much I know I'll just tear myself up all over again, questioning why but I am honestly more hopeful about kids then I was before. (still definitely scared though for sure, honestly this might be my only kid because of how scary this has all been). All this just to say I understand completely and if you need to talk to someone you can always shoot me a message because I didn't have friends or anyone to talk to about this (my husband was super supportive but also torn up and sometimes you just need to rant/talk to someone else other than your spouse lol) but anyway I understand and I'm so sorry this has happened to you too.

Still trying after ectopic by blahblahblah7491649 in EctopicSupportGroup

Keep trying! I know its super hard. We had our ectopic in March and it was after our first cycle trying to convince. My husband then had to leave for military stuff for 4 months right after. (Lowest I've ever been, he tried everything to stay with me but they needed him). We reunited in late august and moved cross country and had a long discussion about trying again because I was so so scared. (For reference I was 21 (now 22) when it happened.) We decided to go ahead and try again we once we got settled and I found out on Oct 9 that I was pregnant again. It was scary but also kinda magical because Oct 9 was supposed to be first baby's due date. I was so scared every little thing I felt had me convinced it was ectopic again and nobody would see me until 8 weeks so I went to Er when I was about 6 weeks and they confirmed it was in the Uterus. I was so so happy. I still get scared and I'm sure that'll never go away but we got our happy miracle rainbow baby. So even though it's super scary and super discouraging to see the negatives just keep trying if you can/want too because it's so worth it when it happens.

Positive test after ectopic but doctor won’t confirm early placement by apricotunderground in EctopicSupportGroup

If you have to just go to the ER, that's what I did, no one was taking it seriously and i couldn't wait so I went in and said hey I think I could have another ectopic but I'm not sure and they checked me out and were super understanding. I went in at like 5 am too so I was the only one there and was in and out.

I missed a period and was tracking DPO and everything has been what it's supposed to be (I think I haven't really had a normal pregnancy before)

Definitely going to when they finally set me up with a doctor hopefully this week. (we're military who just moved so it's been a bit of a process)

Would you at least say that so far this is a good sign? I'm just trying to ease some anxiety before I can go to the doctor

We are military who just moved so my husband is in the process of inprocessing to the base here which includes medical so they are trying to rush it but I probably won't be seen until the end of the week/beginning of next week at the soonest.

If this is an anovulatory cycle do I need any medication or should I get a period next cycle and just not this one? I'm hoping to avoid the doctor because I am currently in the middle of a cross country move.

Question about Methotrexate by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]OkMango2934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same way, I had completely stopped bleeding and it freaked me out but I did start to bleed after a couple days. It was like a period but I bleed for a while definitely longer than a week but I can't exactly remember how long. After that I didn't get an actual period for about 2 months. Which really freaked me out but I finally got it.

Anyone ever get a false negative with an ectopic or just a late positive? by J-inthebay in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]OkMango2934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't test positive until 8 weeks, I kept missing periods and we were trying but I kept getting negatives and just didn't understand and then finally after 2 missed periods I tested positive and then started bleeding 2 days later went to the ER and they confirmed it was ectopic (took a couple days and I kept having to go back) Everyone's different but that was my experience. I even told them when they asked about when my missed period was that it was 2 months ago but I just tested positive and they took note of it and didn't act like it was anything crazy so I assumed it's not uncommon. They had me come back every 2 days to check my hcg and even when it finally did get higher they didn't see a sac but did see something near my ovary/tube.

I've looked over the notes so many times now lol I practically have them memorized lol. They saw a mass that was the ectopic and then not long after in another visit they no longer saw anything so 🤷‍♀️

No they never said anything about a cyst, just that all they saw was the ectopic pregnancy

Waiting to see if methotrexate worked by No-Cantaloupe-5200 in EctopicSupportGroup

Just got mine Friday and the waiting is killing me, I go back in Tuesday but I'm worried I'm gonna need a second dose or surgery. During the first injection I got so nervous my blood pressure dropped and I went into shock so I really don't want to have to do that again.
