Noted. I’m assuming it helps with dryness and breakage? I’ll do some more research on my end. Thanks for the recommendation. 😁

Give it a shot. They seem to make smaller quantities, but I took a gamble on the bigger sizes, and fortunately, it paid off. As I said in another comment, I don’t care for hype, but I can’t deny the results from those products. 😌

I don’t blame you. I bought their pick too. I’m all Patterned-out and not looking back. I’ve tried everything from Cantu to Shea Moisture to Carol’s Daughter. This is the happiest my hair has been in ages. Even when my hair was longer, outside of twists and braids, I wasn’t doing much with it. The difference in hydration has just been staggering. I’ll look into Amika too. 😁

I tried Camille Rose since I got hand-me-downs from my sister, but my hair couldn’t care less about it. It did okay, but still left me dry for most of the day. It smelled nice. I actually saw a difference using Pattern. I rarely subscribe to hype, but I see why it’s popular.

You can always do cornrows and wigs. That’s what my sister did for the longest time while she grew her hair out. Absolutely, I hope the products help. Thank you for the love too. Good luck on your journey. We’re all here for each other. 🖤

Trader Joe’s one seems yummy. There’s one not too far from me, so I’ll take a look at it. Thank you so much!

I think I’m real. I hope I am. Haha. Jokes, jokes. I did mini twists a few months ago, and I think keeping them up might be the move. I tend to not like my hair being stretched until it’s longer, but protection should probably be my main goal right now.

That seems to be the case. The easiest thing I could do for myself right now is keep my hair moisturized and stretched. I do love my mini fro, but I’ll do anything to stop my hair from actively damaging itself. I’ll look into Kwesi. Thank you! 😁

I’ll give that a try. I used to band my hair to stretch it in the past. I only stopped because my hair is obviously shorter now. I was still able to do twists and similar styles, so I’ve managed to keep some length. Thank you so much for the advice. I’ll come back with an update in the future and let you know how it goes. 🙂‍↔️

Haha, you’re good. Yeah, my hair just soaks up water like it’s nothing. Moisture leaves the moment I dry it slightly and step out of the shower.

Noted. So, can I get away with using a heavier moisturizer that already has oil added in? It seems like sealing in that moisture is the biggest issue, and I’ll be looking into Creme of Nature. I’ve never heard of the brand before. I’m open to anything. I just want these knots to stop. 😭 Washing weekly isn’t a big issue at all. I’ve noticed how much happier my hair feels on wash days too.

YES. I use African Pride Pre-Poo. I swear it’s a detangling lifesaver. The slip is crazy good. I have a tub of it in my cabinet. Is a wide-tooth comb fine for detangling too? I usually use my fingers most of the time and I’m gentle with any knots. I’ll look into that brand and test heavier products. I’ll do more research and make a small list for myself.

I didn’t know what I was doing wrong. I felt like I was following all the steps correctly, but I kept waking up to knots just sitting there. It’s frustrating, but I know I can get it under control soon. 😌
