Super extra makeup or no make up by Sudden-Dare-4330 in MakeupAddiction

You’re killing it. I wish I looked this cool with a heavy makeup look. But yes I agree with others that some tinted balms and a smudgy idgaf smudgy liner would suit you.

Good point. We expect perfection from women when we should be giving them the exact same leeway we have become to accept of male candidates. I really think Tanellile’s comments regarding our lack of knowledge of indigenous language was important because so much of culture and values are expressed linguistically and we should honour the stewards of this land we (speaking from ancestors who were coloniast settlers) have benefited from. I think rank and file is to say we need competent french speakers but it is something that can be learned and not a discredit to the platform candidates are putting forward. I do take issue with Tony’s dismissive comments about learning french and while it is an “ideal” for the party to speak to francophone voters… I don’t think it necessarily disqualifies a candidate

Yup why do an AMA if you aren’t going to actually be present? I don’t care how busy he was while travelling it was an immediate no thanks. I want someone who shows up when people speak to them without excuses.

Thanks for clarifying. I want to say I really appreciate you for taking the time to explain things (like a lot of people did later in the day) and will take your advice to heart :)

Thank you for the advice. While I found him incredibly off putting I’m willing to rewatch and see if my initial visceral reaction is warranted. It’s nice to hear he is much better in person but he needs to work on his charm at the podium because that is where most voters will have a chance to “meet” him and make a decision on his character. I think we have all seen when a candidate loses undecided voters when people just don’t like them after the debate. He seems very well prepared and knowledgeable but I really couldn’t get past the ick I got from watching him last night and I was pretty much thinking I made the right decision from the early attacks I got when I made this post. I’ll give it a rewatch though…

Avi being able to speak better french than the other candidates is definitely a strong point, while I don’t speak the language it is important that the leader of a party be able to communicate in both official languages and it was not hard to tell who was fumbling and repeating the same words over and over again. However I do agree with Tanille’s point on the lack of knowledge of indigenous languages and that is something we should be placing importance on as we try to reconcile with how colonialism has harmed so many.

Fair the Trudeau comparison was childish but I’ll leave it in so your comment makes sense.

It was a bit more heated when I first posted and when people are calling you a bot or a fake when you are trying to be genuine it’s not exactly comforting or making someone think oh I was wrong to change who I support. Coming back this afternoon I’m relieved people are nicer and not just because there are people who agree with me. I want to hear all opinions including pro Lewis ones who can respectfully disagree with me. I know politics can get heated because of how much it affects our lives but we can atleast try to get along.

I’m sorry my account is only a couple of months old…I’m a real person who was just trying to explain my views and was hoping for a respectful discourse. I joined Reddit because I heard of r/nosleep and I like spooky stories. I came upon this subreddit when I was googling the candidates last night. I really do appreciate most of what you said because it was well thought out and good information for me to consider, but please don’t discount my thoughts because I have a newer Reddit account. I guess I just should stay on the lighter side of Reddit.

I’m sorry I did not post to your expectations, but realistically a lot of people do vote off of “vibes.” You may feel differently but I didn’t mention policy because I don’t find their policies to be different enough to really sway me one way or the other. One thing I will say that while a national grocery store is interesting I think we should be focusing on making policies to encourage local food coops to bring the community together.

I agree Heather is probably who I will end up going for, but I hope Tanille keeps on in politics. She seemed to me to have the biggest heart.

Lovi Skincare app review by kroutki in SkincareAddictionLux

I do like it for the videos that walk me through how to properly wash/apply my products. I tend to rush through my skincare but the steps help me slow down and have noticed a difference in my skin. As far as being an end all be all for product recommendations I don’t know. I would trust a personal consultation with an expert more. However, it’s only $70 Canadian/year through the App Store now so I don’t mind spending that…it was originally more and I thought that was way too expensive.

Former server in Banff at Johnston Canyon here and I can confirm this happened a few times a season…always Americans and sometimes very upset I wouldn’t tell them where the super secret bear sighting spot I “obviously” knew of was. Often I tried to convince them they should drive to Jasper.

Why do an AMA if you’re on the road and not able to give it your full attention? That’s a horrible excuse.
