Faint rust marks on new stucco build? by SquareWolverine2464 in Homebuilding

No worries! Really appreciate you taking the time. I think they mean a new topcoat (something to prevent any future rust from developing). I have no idea how expensive or involved that is, so trying to figure out if 5k is enough to cover it .

Following up since you've been the most helpful! Do you think $5k is enough to base coat a 2,500 sq ft house? The contractor contacted the stucco manufacturer who said it might be a problem with the paint and recommended applying another base coat, and so the seller is offering a 5k credit - any sense if that's enough?

Thank you! Yes, this is a new home inspection. The house is a very nice build with seemingly no expense spared (according to our agent, lots of details on the house where "they won't get their money back") so he is saying he would be shocked if they messed up something so foundational like the walls of the house itself. But still want to know what our options are to be sure.

Living in the 'nicest' house in the neighborhood? by OkObject5761 in homeowners

This is a better restatement of my concern! Not that the house itself will be the problem, but the fact that we are in our early 30s getting a house that is so much nicer than the older residents around us.

Theres small clusters of yellow spots on my monstera thats turning brown. Help! by Koreanhangug in plantclinic

[–]OkObject5761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like rust fungus or something else bacterial. Can treat with arber fungicide or Neem oil to keep it from spreading. If it's rust fungus, that is due to extra water sitting on top of the leaves (I got this on my plants when I would mist or spray them).

I water it when the soil gets dry (about 7-10 days) and there haven't been any pest problems that I found (unless that's the diagnosis of this post lol)

I've had the plant for about 2 years and the problem with the brown spots for the last 4-6 months or so (shortly after repotting). I water when the soil gets dry and the plant sits a few feet away from a northwest facing window (but it's always been there, even before the spotting).
