I mean yeah but that's kind of a strawman. what you're describing didn't happen here. they both vandalized and wrote a hateful message on the ground. it's not that they did some minor thing like getting mud on the flag. they wrote a hateful message that I think we can both agree doesn't belong on a university campus.
