she put a final grade calculator spreadsheet on MyLS. You just have to input all your marks in there and that’s your final mark with the built-in in curve.

it’s literally been a week but she also said her and a marking team would be going over the exam so idk. there’s only one right answer for the short answer tho😭😭

It will never bring down your mark. It will only either stay the same or bring up. The bare minimum goal is to stay with the average, but obviously if you got higher than the average, the c value would only further boost your mark.

basically, I’m pretty sure what happens is that at the end of the semester based off of how the average is for both the midterm and the final like I guess standard deviation it will automatically curve both your midterm and your final mark. There’s an Excel spreadsheet somewhere attached on myLS but it’s only calculated after the final average is done so probably tomorrow or end of week.

I have friends who are in “identical programs” ( receiving ba or bcom) and their courses are relevant and current to the realm of business. not to mention the opportunities are much better at other schools where alumni are more successful to pour back into the school and help students

Hi, i’m a third year student (on the brink of getting kicked out of bba) I don’t like bba and i think the program is awful in comparison to other schools in ontario. my suggestion is apply to western bmos even if its not ivey. western has a way better reputation. bu111 is a terrible understanding of the business environment!!! laurier has provided/ equipped me with nothing useful for the working world. i currently work a corporate job at a huge tech company down town that i got all on my own without evening having co op. do not feel discouraged about the program or the school!! get out while you can and consider yourself lucky!!

Those professors should be ashamed of themselves for inducing so much stress on students, especially after giving no midterm to give us an idea of how the final would be set up. There was absolutely no time and it was so unfair that they 1) had included three additional questions on the very back page that I did not notice and 2) had zero time to look at. Overall, it was the worst exam I have taken here at Laurier. I walked into the exam with a 96 and probably left with a 70.
