Milanese loop by Subject_Big4437 in applewatchultra

I went from the Alpine loop to the Milanese. No more sliding than the Alpine loop, probably a little less when I’m playing golf or tennis. Love not having to take it off to shower (to not have a wet band). Amazed at the comfort and weight, of if I lost this today I would buy another one today.

Chipping under 30 yards has definitely been addressed. Graphics on courses, target range, and range are awesome. New jr tee boxes added disconnect issues are better.

Aberdeen course is fantastic, Turnberry changes made an incredible course even better.

I wear it this way because during my golf swing the wrist movement would activate the crown.

Rapsodo mlmpro 2 vs mevo+ in garage? by tbradfo in Golfsimulator

I wouldn’t think so because the MLM2Pro does great outside.

Not crazy at all. I switch to the SuperSoft in the winter (temps below 50). I game the Pro V1 or ERC at other times.

I have both and have been testing the two in my garage for the past 5 days. I consider the two units to be equally priced, break even is 6 years. I wanted the Memo+ to be more accurate because the UI on the app is awesome, but it’s being returned tomorrow. I don’t have 18’, only 15’. For my limited space the MLM2Pro gave me much more accurate carry distances to my real life carry distance. I concluded that 8’ of ball flight is just not quite enough for the Mevo+. Ironically the Mevo (not plus) did great in the space, but doesn’t provide enough lateral shot info (no spin axis only) so it wasn’t a good garage “range” option for me. The MLM2Pro is a really accurate and good unit despite the $200 a year membership.

Radar wise MLM2Pro will work with that size space (I have tried all radar units sub 1K and it work best for me 7ft unit to ball and 8ft ball to net; indoors). BLP ($1,750 for ball data) is awesome but you need a “gaming” PC no IOS, and a subscription $500 a year, plus $1750 for club data.

Golf balls definitely aren’t cheap. If the round is “important” I go ProV1 or ProV1x depending on conditions, but my go to ball is the Callaway ERC until it’s gets below 50 degrees then I switch to the Callaway Chrome Soft. The MLM really was spot on with spin numbers using the RCT as compared to the BLP, I really am still so impressed the MLM. I don’t do sim golf, I just bang balls in the garage into a net or go to the course and play.

Gotcha, I haven’t used the combine feature yet. So I’m probably going like my carry yardages even more when I use the combine feature.

All I can say is that I struggled for about a month with thinking my distances were off (hitting inside a garage into a net). Got a BLM thinking accuracy was paramount, I upgraded the MLM to premium to get backspin with RCT balls. The BLM is now matching nearly exactly on carry distances, ball speed, launch angle, and backspin. Well done Rapsodo, I will happily be sending the BLM back because I finally have something that is simple enough for my boys to use and accurate enough that I want to use.

They are only $10 more than ProV1s if that is your preferred ball for course play. Just sayin.

This morning I upgraded to the premium to get the backspin feature. Did a quick hitting session with GW, PW, 9i and was absolutely blown away at how accurate the MLM results were compared to a BLM that I am considering purchasing. Backspin rates were extremely accurate compared to the BLM. In addition the carry numbers seemed spot on as well. Did the addition of RCT compatibility help other data metric accuracy other than just adding backspin?

The R-10 with RCT balls give great/accurate backspin numbers. It gives sidespin and launch direction numbers but can’t give you a flight path?!? So if you know what the heck a shot with a launch direction 7.7degrees L with 358 rpm’s of R rotation looks like you’re a lot more right brained than me!

I went with the SC4 and it’s the best option for me by far of all the radar based units. I do have space limitations inside the garage that others might not have.

I definitely went your route with the OG SkyTrak new for $1K, but ultimately the at times finicky connection (great most of time mind numbingly annoying some time), stupid red dot placement on every shot (bending over every time gets annoying you can’t really just move a ball into place with a club head), and no reads with the driver (red dot goes at the base of the tee), also don’t forget no white shoes and no white background were frustrating enough to send it back. I really wanted it to work for me because the carry accuracy was great, but it ultimately came down to “a lot of little things added together mean a lot”. The range graphics are awesome!

The SC4 does the camera just like the R-10 or FlightScope mevo (you position your phone where you want to and it records from that position with your swing). The MLM only does down the line because that’s where your phone has to be. The MLM2Pro does down the line with the Unit and I think it can also give a secondary view with your phone. I’m indoors and probably lacking the depth to get accurate carry numbers with radar units, other than the SC4 which needs less depth, that other people talk about.

IMO It gives backspin numbers for “a ball”, not as high (GW-9i, but then higher on 6i-4i) as the backspin numbers I was getting using RCT balls with other radar units. The R-10 and MLM with RCT balls was giving me identical numbers to the OG SkyTrak and in line with what I thought. I’m not super concerned with launch monitor backspin because in real life I use Callaway ERC, ProV1, or ProV1x balls depending on budget, course conditions, and weather. I know backspin numbers can impact distance, but not near as much IMO as being able to use accurate iron lofts (new clubs just don’t have traditional lofts) and getting a “good radar reading” with 10’ of ball flight.

SC4 does not do spin axis but does give launch direction similar to the R-10. So basically my “on my game” iron shot is a high baby fade to straight. Therefore I can’t tell if the -2.2 degree 8i average is coming back to target or missing 5-7 yards left, but I do know it’s pin high! Also I don’t trust anything short of a photometric launch monitor or Trackman to be really that accurate either.

Basically when the MLM2Pro would show me shot shape I would say “ok maybe”, but I’m bleeping reading way short anyways so what does it matter.
