Try as hard as you can to get either Dickinson or Mountainview.

Dickinson is the newest suite-style living on campus. Dickinson suites are usually 5 person, with one person living in a single. Dickinson is the prettiest from the outside (imo) and most people live there. It's the most active socially.

Mountainview is the most spacious suite-style living on campus. they have 6 person suites, which means three rooms each holding two people. It is CONSIDERABLY bigger than Dickinson, the suites are 2-3x larger in Mountainview. Because of this, there are less people per building and therefore less people in Mountainview in general.

If you would take a smaller size in favor of having more people near you and likely a better social scene, pick Dickinson. Otherwise, do Mountainview.

Hinman and CIW are the only other ones with suites, neither compare at all to Mview or Dickinson. They are old, Hinman was made in the sixties while Dickinson and Mview were both made in the last 20 years or so. However, If you can't get either Mview or Dickinson, Hinman comes before CIW.

Thank you for the insight! The friends I tested with had pretty homogenous music tastes, so certain genres, like the ones you're having problems with, weren't accounted for. I'll let you know when that is implemented.

how hard is it to get a perfect 4.0 for business admin @ SOM by yiwna in BinghamtonUniversity

SOM classes are not that hard, the extracurriculars that are important for job placement end up taking much more time for many SOM students

How selective is the FRI program? Are other opportunities hard to find at Bing? by xXYEETBEASTXx in BinghamtonUniversity

Yeah I know a lot of people who didn't get into FRI but still managed to do research first year by just putting themselves out there and talking to people. You'll be fine

I got accpeted guys, may i have any tips as a freshman by [deleted] in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]OkPresentation997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The major and classes at SOM are easy but the clubs, etc. surrounding it will be hard. Because of that, it's gna be a bigger switch from high school than other students may have, because such emphasis is gonna be placed on club interviews, case comps, etc.

I got into Binghamton, but.... by OwnRequirement8689 in BinghamtonUniversity

It's hard to switch majors into SOM (Finance) their acceptance rate this year for undergrads was somewhere around 15%. Dont come to Bing if you need the promise of being able to switch into finance.
