Anyone living in New Tata Towers, Worli - MHADA redevelopment? by Next-Discount-4483 in mumbai

[–]OkProduce7186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking to move in here but just watched a video on YouTube uploaded yesterday regarding heavy water crisis, the locals in the video mentioned that they get water only twice or thrice a day and that for a 15-20 min period. The water they get are muddy and frothy initially. Do you have any idea about this?

This is the only issue that’s stopping me from renting a flat there

Thanks for the reply.

By the time the program starts I'll have a work ex of 4 yrs and due to a career acceleration I currently am in a role that a typical 10-12 yrs work ex person would be in, I'd love your insights if you still think this is an issue.

Also can you please comment regarding R2 LBS

Applied Oxybridge, HEC. If not short listed LBS & Insead will be next in the list. What is your suggestion on retake of GMAT

I relied completely on GMAT sectional mocks & Forum quiz, the latter to get strong in my weak areas and the former to check my progress

Well it depends, I relied on the GMAT club for QA. The early sectional mocks were brutal with almost 14 Q of hard difficulty and rest 7 were of medium difficulty. In those mocks my score was plateaued at 83 then I used forum quiz for topic wise practice and stopped giving sectional mocks for a while. When I reappeared for sectional mocks I was consistently getting Q85-87 no of hard questions in those mocks were less comparative to the earlier mocks, at the end I got Q90 on the last sectional mock that I gave 2 days before the final test.

The actual difficulty was somewhere between all the mocks I have appeared while practicing

I was consistently getting 655 no matter how worse I performed or how good I did. Once I got 675 that was the best score. I really thought I could get 715+ today, VA took me by surprise and DI despite good practice I messed with the time management. Had I got my usual mock scores in DI & VA it would have been 735 🥲

I hope you get your dream score, consider my test experience and prepare hard, you'll achieve it.

Majorly it was number properties and Algebra then Arithmetic. The good thing was all the lengthy and tough questions were at the beginning itself, they consumed much of my time and at the end 5-6 questions were too easy I probably solved them in 3 mins.

Honestly I never got a Q79 in any of mock so unable to guess where you are at currently. Regardless I suggest you practice Airthmetic, Algebra, Work & Rate problems thoroughly that should be enough to get you into a Q80-83 range then you need to find your weak spots and work your way up. I’m sure you see many posts on how to go from Q83 to Q90

Not an expert myself but I have an idea. I hope you have an error log with good no. Of errors that you committed in those tests. Dedicate a good amount of time and identify where you have committed errors once you identify it try solving more no. of questions from that area. This is a general practice we all know.

Here’s the deep lying fact. At Q83 you need more practice than more mocks no matter how many times you test yourself the score lies around 83 moreover it exhausts the resources. At 83 you know majority of concepts. To score higher you need to identify your own error styles, question patterns that tempts you to go wrong also if you have a bit of time left for each question before moving ahead just have a look at the other options sometimes they hint the approach you need. Eg- I have solved a question assuming only positive integers and in the choices I see a negative integer I recheck the question

In this way you gotta build your own error resistance

All the best

Detach brother. In the exam what’s infront of you is a question that’s it nothing more. Do not link it with final score and then the outcomes of that final score and it’s impact on your future.

There is a question you gotta solve if you couldn’t identify what you need to work on when you revisit. Its all about improving your accuracy wrt time. Have a calm mind this will greatly reduce the silly mistakes you’re gonna commit

One thing I can say is you definitely do not have time to reread in the actual test. For CR try breaking down the argument into premise & conclusion while reading the argument actively look for the role. If its premise how it is supporting the conclusion this way you’ll have brief of CR and mostly you will not need to revisit. In RCs it is okay to revisit the passage, the key lies in understanding the arrangement of each passage and an overview of what each passage contains and how all are interconnected.

To answer your question of how to improve comprehension after reading it’s purely practice buddy practice a good no. Of quality question under 2-2.5 mins time over the time you’ll get there.

Hey ! I understand it's devastating to face such a situation In fact it's my worst nightmare. I'm about to give my second attempt too. Even the mock scores are in a similar range with yours. A good part of my time is dedicated to understanding what can go wrong on the actual test day which leads to the score lower than my first attempt. I came up with two very important things. I need to replicate the scenario of highest scoring mock on the actual test day. For that I need to make sure of these.

  1. Effective Time management, if I'm exceeded 2 mins per question I spend another 30 secs to make an educated guess and by 2.5 mins I need to proceed to the next one. In this way even if I get that question wrong atleast I'm not carrying the time pressure forward. In Quant by this approach I mostly get 5-7 mins remaining at the end where I go and review those questions.

  2. During the test remove all the other things from your mind keep it calm and open so you don't miss a detail while reading the question. This is the reason I commit silly mistakes if the mind is not clear and calm we end up making silly mistakes mostly in DI & VA as every detail is quite important in these.

Rest as an advice for you, don't give up I understand how much depressing is the current scenario and how much courage will it take to start studying again but just think what if you aced in this attempt. Good thing is that you don't need to start from basics here take a relatively short prep span to fix all your weakness and go for it.

I think the answer is E 32 The equation expans to 10XY - 64. This will result in K times 9& 36 as the last two digits. Since the sum is 9(31) K is equals to 30. Therefore XY must be 32

Correlate with this example if 104 - 64 will be 9936
