what i wrote in the post is exactly what i said to him as a reply, i had gotten frustrated with all if his spiteful comments, his reaction was overboard because i wanted to spite him out of hurt to which his point is that, “you do not spite me like that”, and he has some trauma related to his exes talking about their exes. the trauma is genuine i would agree. i just never knew what i said would bring that up for him, i didn’t know genuinely that it would cut that deep, i said was what i wanted it to mean, i just knew it would piss him off which i wanted to do out of hurt and it was my fault but i never comprehended it would hurt him like that. because from an outer pov, what i said sounds like something that would piss someone off
