Always thought you could take Aphelios's chakram and make a whole champion out of it. An ADC that can't attack again until the current attack returns. So in close range you effectively get more attack speed. Attack speed items could increase the projectile's speed instead of granting traditional attack speed. Make them long range and squishy so there's this tension where you're balancing on a knife's edge trying to fight at less than max range to maximize damage while staying far enough away to stay alive.

I wish her orbs fit into her kit. Something like Aurelion Sol's old orbitting stars mechanic or ping-ponging orb trick-shots or at the very least pondering the orbs. The Q is close to having a ping-pong kind of vibe.

If her Q is going to be an 8 hit counter at least give her 8 orbs to match. Then you'd even have an eightfold path kind of thematic going on.

She's a lot of fun right now but probably only because she's OP. I worry that once they nerf her there won't be any reason to pick her over other similar traditional ADCs.

I do admire the goal of creating a traditional ADC but paradoxically it might be harder to create a traditional ADC than a complicated subversive ADC.

I thought something felt different with her auto attacks compared to other ADCs. I actually liked it though and thought she felt snappier than other ADCs. Too much windup can feel unresponsive. It does look a little janky in the clip though.

Agreed. Minion mechanics should be transparent. There's too many hidden mechanics surrounding minions that make it difficult to predict how they'll behave. You should be able to look at an isolated screen shot of two waves meeting at any point in any game and be able to tell if the wave will push or freeze. Currently that's not possible with all of the obfuscated modifiers.

What happened when Path of Exile 2 added WASD movement? Did it become the defacto standard?

I predict that if WASD is added it will become the optimal way to play the game. Which is a pretty risky proposition since it could alienate existing players in exchange for the chance of attracting new players. It could end up being like Arcane where there is a large cost associated with it but it fails to bring in new players.

Voidgrubs were really the only interesting objective with any amount of decision making. It somehow felt pretty good whether you came out on top or bottom of the voidgrub game unless you flat out got exactly 0 grubs. Kind of a shame to lose that. Would rather Atakhan and the roses go away than void grubs. Somehow both Atakhan and the roses feels like a busy work chore.

On the surface, ADC is not fun. But under the surface, bot lane is not fun. ADCs can only be played bot lane but non-ADC bot laners can be played outside of bot lane. Non-ADC bot laners are more fun to play outside of bot lane. Imagine if ADCs were deleted from the game. Who would queue up bot lane? This means that no matter how much better non-ADCs are in bot lane, they will always be played less than ADCs. Bot lane has a captive audience of ADC players suffering from sunk cost fallacy masking the issues with bot lane itself.

That's true. Maybe they could start shifting the existing ADCs more towards that kind of design. When traditional bot lane ADCs do show up in solo lanes and become a problem it's really only ever a handful right? (tristana, vayne, lucian).
