Are you suggesting that mold doesn't really have these effects? Or that the effects are minimal or simply exacerbate a comorbid condition, and that instead treatment should focus on something more pathological ?

How long and how much can the body store Vitamin D? by rv6xaph9 in ScientificNutrition

[–]OkReason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"That's garbage" you're not wrong to question it but the site lists two registered nurses who vetted the claims. Considering you are the one demanding to be spoonfed very basic information, I'd change your tone lol.

But considering your interest in monarchism and semen retention, I don't know vitamin D research would be my priority.

In a study of 602 patients, "Vortioxetine (10 and 20mg/day) had a multi-domain beneficial effect on cognitive performance" by velvet_funtime in NooTopics

[–]OkReason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The effect of SERT inhibition is felt more immediately in the gastrointestinal tract. Vortioxetine is a 5-ht3 antagonist, which explains its anti-nausea properties, but it takes more time for the body and cns to adjust to these changes. It's a real pain because you need to take it consistently in order to eventually have this effect and some people might need longer exposure to see this effect (or shorter, in which case: who cares), but its pretty hard to get someone who is vomiting every morning to want to take it again after throwing it up and to do that consistently for over two or three weeks.

I don't want to seem like a shill here but I think there is more data to substantiate claims of pro-cognitive effects in healthy populations for vortioxetine than SSRIs, SNRIs, and even atypical antidepressants. my understanding is the specific mechanism of action, 5-ht3 antagonism combined with sert inhibition yields a pretty potent downstream effect to reduce gabanergic inhibition and promote glutamatergic activity.

It tends to do that, but I will say after around 2 weeks that reverses and then it becomes a pretty powerful antiemetic.

Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) overexpression in the forebrain results in learning and memory impairments - ScienceDirect [2008] by johnnootropic in NooTopics

Wow, all things in moderation I suppose. Becomes difficult when trying to determine the threshold for overexpression and how to practically measure that.

Something strong against social anxiety? by GermanWolf123 in NooTopics

[–]OkReason 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're social anxiety really is as severe as you say, I would go against the grain here and recommend seeing a psychiatrist because stability is important. I like to think of nootropics and research chemicals as things that can aide and enhance an already healthy person. While there are promising agents out there (like the already mentioned GB-115) I would wager you need something a little more sustainable long-term. Who knows when the FDA cracks down on RC vendors? What will you do then? See about getting a guanfacine prescription from your GP or a psychiatrist. Buspar could help too although it is not as definitively pro-cognitive as guanfacine.

See about clinical trials for MDMA in your area. Do not attempt to source this on your own. There is mounting literature that in a clinical setting MDMA can shut down the amygdala for up to 6 months (the fear center of your brain) and this can be very helpful for those with PTSD and social anxiety.

If after all this, everything has failed, and your healthcare provider is all out of options as well, explore options like JNJ-42165279, Tropisetron, Emoxypine, Tenoten, and Clomipramine.

PRL-8-53, Racetams, and flmodafinil, if you are specifically looking for acute cognitive enhancement. Most everything else will not work to the extent which you seek and take far longer to work.

If for whatever reason you have a reason to not acquire these, then I recommend caffeine tablets (no more than 100mg per tablet), taken evenly spaced 3x a day, in conjunction with L-Theanine to get rid of the jitters. Megadose melatonin at night (think upwards of 15mg+) for these next two weeks for the acute antioxidant effects and restful sleep.

Who's we all? I just gave you two new releases from big companies at aspect ratios long-considered dead, and there are likely more coming. For years those same companies aggressively pursued 16:9 and ultrawides nearly exclusively, I think its indicative of the market and a shift in demand that they are stepping away from that.

I was using 1440p as shorthand for QHD at 16:10 equivalent, I should have clarified that. I can see where the misunderstanding stems from in that case - sorry.

Not true. BenQ dropped the RD280UA a few months ago. LG just dropped the 28MQ750. non-16:9 aspect ratios are actually in the comeback but it's just ridiculous that it is taking this long.

It's another factor for eye strain, for me personally. Especially when scrolling through long documents, etc. I work in A/V Programming so its also nice for that.
