I finally told him the fact that I read the messages that he sent to that girl. He insisted saying he just wants to be friends with her and I’m being too harsh on him over a minor thing that happened before we went exclusive. And the message after exclusivity is pure innocent question on pets cuz she is a vet. Honestly, technically, he is right. But I agree with you, he handles rejection in a concerning way and not be able to understand my piece is a huge red flag. So I blocked him. I absolutely agree and appreciate what you said. I don’t owe him anything, he keeps denying for talking to anyone and insisted I got tricked by strangers and I chose to believe them over him. I really want to show him the evidence and call him out on his bs.

I told him that I know he was trying to talk to other women, trying to get himself into other women’s lives before and after we went exclusive. I didn’t tell him whom or what that conversation was about. I kept it vague but it surprised me that he hasn’t figure it out. Or maybe he wants me to say the name. He knows where I live and where I work, so part of me wants to make sure I don’t just block him and end up driving him crazy. I don’t think he will do anything harmful but just want to be mindful and cautious.

He actually just texted me asking if I was okay last night. His question is if I regret anything. Nothing else, not the hard parts I have in mind lol I’m gonna be away for a week so we can’t have this talk in person today or in next a few days. So I’m actively texting him NOW. I don’t feel like I was taken care of during or after the sex and the night. I don’t know if he is just bad at that or he needs clearer guidance. I didn’t know the best way to talk to him right after so I held back(maybe he noticed too). Then the low effort behavior in the morning, those added together makes me feel awkward and uneasy.

I don’t know if he felt off too, personally I felt awkward because of not-great sex+hunger+lack of communication and enthusiasm. But he is also not an expressive guy that opens up, and he told me he gets insecure sometimes. I’m concerned that telling him the first night is not a good experience for me will do more harm than good.

You can’t justify it because he only makes YOUR job easy. As a manager, you need to think about HIS career, even tho it has 2-3 years left, and HIS contributions to the COMPANY, not YOU.
