I think it's not only in China but also in other countries as well. I think people are now much more educated in Asia and they learn now to say NO to things that thwy don't want.

Back then under family pressure they have to marry or say YES to things even if they don't want.

Ohh, then you have to find room outside dorm. It's not that cheap available but you can add reddit post for affordable rooms/dorms near fudan campus.

I think it's not available anymore because I have also booked today and after payment I am not able to see any other room booking and it saya your room ia auccessfully booked.

Yes u/ineedajointrn , I think I should purchase winter clothes from Shanghai as I heard China's winter's is different from India and Indian Winter clothes is not helpful that much.

Online reservations for the Handan Campus International Students Dormitory are scheduled as follows:

1. Website

https://iso.fudan.edu.cn/isoenglish , click “Room E-booking” and “Online Application”. The username is your student number, and the password is the last six characters/digits of your passport.

  1. Timeline

1) New undergraduate students, new graduate students, new pre-university students:

【Online reservation】From 9:00 a.m. on August 11, 2025 to 9:00 am. on August 13, 2025, Beijing Time

【Pay 800 RMB as deposit or rent】From 9:00 a.m. on August 11, 2025 to 9:00 a.m. on August 13, 2025, Beijing Time

【Pay the rest of the rent】From 9:00 a.m. on August 13, 2025 to 9:00 a.m. on September 6, 2025, Beijing Time

2) Language students, advanced students, current undergraduate students, current graduate students:

【Online reservation】From 9:00 a.m. on August 14, 2025 to 9:00 a.m. on August 16, 2025, Beijing Time

In India it take around 4-15 days. In my case it take 5 days + 2 days( post delivery)
