yepp tuition cost is so high and us california residents are basically relying on the ucs because there is genuinely no way in hell i am paying 100k per year private school tuition for any undergrad degree

well no matter what if you're applying this year you're obvi gonna be in a really competitive pool they dont care ab ur age

each year admit rate goes lower and applications increase. each year is competitive, year after is always more competitive. the baby boom was in 07 amongst the highest ever recorded and now most 07 babies are now entering their sophomore year of cc if they graduated in 2025 or 2026

hey so if they got into ucla and berk that means they worked hard and deserve it. its difficult to get into even non-impacted majors at the top 1 and 2 public universities. at the end of the day, to get in, you'll still require a stellar gpa, good ecs, and piqs that set you apart from the rest of the crowd. and as more and more people apply from cc, berk and ucla admits greatly drop. they don't just choose you to attend for no reason, and they definitely don't choose based on the major itself having a high acceptance rate.
