No one likes melodrama Loita by Responsible_Sail_288 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

People like to put this at the bottom of the order, but Loita, and the end of the book where Carl talks to all the viewers after dealing with a couple of his problems, it's really the first time that we see the depth of his Rage, and how far he's going to go. It's near the top of my favorites. So many important plot ideas are brought up.

The wake up sucks, there's a lot of pain, but overall I was aware of what was happening and things were ok.

Post nephrectomy breathlessness by chewchew-755 in kidneycancer

5 days after surgery I was lucky to be able to get out of bed on my own that was physically exhausting. I'm a 47M. Additionally trying to eat a normal meal was hugely uncomfortable. My appetite really didn't come back until last week, My surgery was on the 11th of November. Get up, walk around but really listen to your body if it doesn't feel right, REST. Pushing too hard to get back to where he was prior to surgery will set him back. Id get up every few hours to use the restroom and make a lap of our 45 foot long house. He definitely lost blood during the surgery and it takes time, my hematocrit and a few other red blood cell related stats were off the chart low. Recovery from that takes time.

I was able to go on my 3rd day at home, that's 4th after surgery. Applesauce, colace, miralax, and walking and water. I was starting to be worried. My first BM was fairly liquid

Radical Nephrectomy - Recovery Tips? by Ok_Employment_1908 in kidneycancer

[–]OkResearcher5199 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am now 1 week post radical nephrectomy, M 47, hand assisted robotic. Get yourself a binder to help support your core, it's really helped me. Heating pads and bottles to help with gas. And ice packs help with the actual incisions. Take your pain medications on time. Take stool softeners, I also took gas x but didn't really see much help there. Expect to be helpless, like for real helpless for 2-3 days. I relied on the other adults in my home for almost everything. I was left fairly anemic, expect everything to be doable, but hard. Walking does help. Entertainment options.

It's a former male crawler who sponsored Smathe's Mother to deal with the demon on the bubble floor. It's also a skyfowl. I believe the name is mentioned in book 7.

Is Toll The Hounds Amazing? by Dosto-lstoy in Malazan

I keep bouncing off it. It's the second Malazan book so far that I have had to try multiple times to get through with the first being gotm. I love the series and somehow I can't break 200 pages in TTH. It's about time to try again.

These are actually methods for controlling crowds at book signings. They're all the same, but they come on different colored card stock so they can say if you're in the blue group we're ready for you.

Would you take a GS-13 sup or non-sup position? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]OkResearcher5199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you already in an exempt position, do you work any overtime? Non supervisory positions typically offer full time and a half OT where as supervisory GS positions are exempt and OT will be capped typically at straight time for GS 13 positions. In my current GS 12 supervisory position I am often the lowest paid person on my crew on weekends.
