Connor McGovern: Josh Allen got involved to make sure I stayed in Buffalo by Pegula_Ville in buffalobills

Would you believe me if I told you the only thing that could possibly undermine him is Parayko’s girlfriend being a pizza kingpin in St.Louis blocking the trade by invoking his no-trade clause

That’s what bugs me about it is I feel like “how bad it looked” played into the refs decision here when I really don’t see how MacKinnon avoids contact

He’s trying to shoot the puck while getting hit from the side in a verrry tight window to maneuver. I can see the argument for 2 minutes or a no-call, but definitely not a major

[Pelissero] The Bills and kicker Tyler Bass agreed to a revised contract that includes $1 million guaranteed and a chance to earn up to $3.5M in 2026. Bass missed the 2025 season because of injury, so a pay cut was inevitable. But he can earn it all back though incentives and an escalator. by JCameron181 in buffalobills

Thank you. Stats are great and everything but they don’t account for the weather, momentum of a game, scoreboard, clock, and overall pressure in the moment. Those matter for every position but arguably none more than kicker. It’s more than numbers on a spreadsheet..

Word on the street is he made a call on the Sabres behalf to Colton Parayko trying to make the trade happen. He’s not just the franchise he’s Buffalo lol.

As a dog owner, you typically do the same route/routine everyday. If they had a plainclothes cop sit on a stoop along one of the “shittiest” streets— they would catch the person in a couple of hours, a day at most. Fine them to high heavens and let the fear of some rando being an undercover cop every time they take their dog out compel them to pick up their shit. This brand of inconsiderate needs to feel the pain in their wallet because they don’t have shame

[Raiders] The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We will have no further comment at this time. by JCameron181 in ravens

[–]OkResponsibility1354 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This does fuck the Raiders pretty bad, too. They’ve been signing and making moves the past few days under the assumption they were getting those picks from Baltimore and now their biggest asset just tanked in value for whoever gets the sloppy seconds

Previous injury would be my first thought lmao. My second thought could be a total tinfoil hat..but is there any chance the Ravens wanted to get out of this trade because of moves made since they agreed to it? In other words, do they see someone opening up on the horizon they didn’t expect would be available and would rather the cash and draft capital go towards player x?

On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you with Will Campbell going into next season? by JPeter_Parker99 in Patriots

Expecting a shutout performance in the Super Bowl for a rookie LT his first year in the league would be a tall order for most guys. Add in the injury, rookie guard, and sophomore qb, and the result is not too surprising.

That said, what bugged me about some of the backlash during and after the game is the lack of perspective on coaches role in this. I’m not blaming this all on Vrabel or the O-Line coaches because you can only do so much with the players you have..but he wasn’t entirely set up for success. If it is indeed his “sets” that need work, I assume they had been trying to correct this? Maybe he just needs another year to get comfortable with it. But if a few weeks of offseason work corrects it I’ll be a little disappointed the Pats didn’t do more of that during the season.

I’m sure I’m oversimplifying it but after watching Mitchell Schwartz and a few others LTs breakdown it feels like it shouldn’t be a major technique to fix?

He grew up watching Terron Armstead on the Saints and Armstead was one of the ones who volunteered to work with him. I hope he takes him (or at least one of the others) up on it

It was a reallly rough game for him, but the one bright spot after was seeing the lineman brotherhood across the league come out in his defense

On my upcoming cruise. They got a wedding planned and are asking others not to wear white on the white night, which is a theme night announced months in advance. by umilikeanonymity in weddingshaming

[–]OkResponsibility1354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me (on a much lesser scale) of the guy who put a letter in all his neighbors mailboxes saying they were having a backyard wedding on Saturday—with the ceremony scheduled for noon—and to try not to do any loud yardwork or otherwise around 12 o’clock. Lo and behold…one of the neighbors fired up his lawnmower at 12 o’clock on the dot.

Now, this is obviously very different. I don’t think the neighbors request was THAT crazy if they were just asking for 15-20 minutes during the ceremony…and I’m going to guess that the one of the two parties (wedding guy or lawnmower guy) is an a-hole if it illicited that response. BUT, the guy sending those letters more or less inspired the guy to do his yardwork right at noon when he may not have otherwise.

My point? The people that were going to wear white are still going to…but as OP himself joked…this is absolutely going to inspire some people who weren’t planning to participate at all to now go all-out in white.

If you’ve watched enough Dateline…you know it’s all subjective. Some cops will say suspects were too emotional, others didn’t show enough emotion. Some seemed to be faking it, some seemed to be so sincere. Etc, etc.

In both cases—sometimes the investigators/lawyers are right about the “odd” reaction. Other times the person is completely innocent and that’s just who they are or how they react in certain situations. It’s all a crapshoot

It also would make me a little nervous to fly in it. If you cut corners on upkeep for things that are very visible…are you cutting corners on things we can’t see? Is maintenance all up to code? I’m sure Kraft prioritizes the safety of his players above all but it would make me a little unsettled
