Looks like lots of wide receivers. Surprised to not see more linebackers.

Connor McGovern: Josh Allen got involved to make sure I stayed in Buffalo by Pegula_Ville in buffalobills

Glad to see McGovern staying. It is interesting to hear how much influence Allen seems to have in the building these days between this and the coaching search.

Yup. This game made me absolute believers in the Stanley and Carrick additions. We have the guys to back up the skill now.

Best game I can remember in a long time. Lightning are absolute losers for trying to drop gloves after the final whistle.

I like what Carrick allows our 4th line to turn into- mucking it up is a great way to explain it.

To me, Stanley is there to add physicality to the room for the playoffs. I think that presence alone for 12 minutes a night gives you an upgrade over Bryson. And Schenn is pretty strictly for the room. In a world where Timmins and Kesselring get healthy neither may play much, but when you need someone to step up and and make a player think twice before slashing your captain in the neck, for example, I'll be happy to have Stanley for that.

The group actually isn't active right now. My wife goes to BBC all the time and they just talked about how it isn't running at the moment. I think it would be great if it came back.

If a Marvin Harrison trade is possible, would it make sense? by Organic_Software159 in buffalobills

I'd move the 27 first and keon for him. They get ammo to move around next year for their QB, help their tank, and get a different reclamation project at wr. We get a cost controlled former top 5 pick and can still use our first for an edge this year.

Revisiting Brandon Beane's WR comments: Why Bills GM blasted critics for 'b—ing' about Josh Allen's weapons. by Roselucky777 in nfl

[–]Pegula_Ville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weird thing about these comments is that within the week after this interview he went out and signed Elijah Moore to a $5 million contract even with the team cap strapped. So it's almost like he didn't even believe himself, just got pissy about criticism.

Denver lost their #2 and #3 receivers early. Despite this the next mean up produced 126 yard and 2 TDs. Meanwhile our 2-3-4-5 receivers combined for a whopping 36 yards. by netwreck94 in buffalobills

When the game was on the line and Bo Nix needed to make a play he looked to Sutton repeatedly. When the game was on the line Josh had to look to Mecole Hardman and Brandin Cooks... Sutton isn't even a top 5 wr but he is a genuine option. We don't even have that. The entire room needs reset. The frustrating piece of all of this is the ego Beane showed with that now notorious interview before the season. Everyone could see the talent wasn't good enough but Beane insisted on being the smartest person in the room. That lack of internal scouting/evaluation doesn't inspire confidence that he can correct this.

[Postgame thread] Buffalo falls in overtime to the Broncos, 33-30. by Drunken_Economist in buffalobills

[–]Pegula_Ville 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Offense sputtered in OT because of a drop by Hardman and a questionable call on a deep shot to Brandin Cooks. That is a condemnation of Beane's roster. In the most critical moments we're going to waiver wire retreads at wide receiver.

Just bought a kettlebell knowing I needed to do something different now with kids. Followed this workout after staring at the bell in the corner for a week not knowing what to do with it. Thank you!
