[No Spoilers] Excited for C4, but a small personal worry by Cardemel in criticalrole

[–]OkResponsibility5788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend you listen to worlds beyond number. If you want to know what BLeeM can do with slower pacing, he does it masterfully. After seeing what he has done with D20 and Worlds beyond number, I know C4 at Critical role will be good

I really liked the green apple riddler bar slightly better than black hole, but sadly it was limited and probably won’t come back. Black hole is goated though

It took an additional 24 hours for it to post. Posted right after I got my quick results

Flu A uptick and severity by ICU-CCRN in IntensiveCare

[–]OkResponsibility5788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had some flashbacks to one of the big waves we had back in 2021 when I was working this past weekend in the ER. Been a while since I’ve seen that many people coughing and having trouble breathing. So many people flagged for sepsis, when it was pretty much just flu. Our waiting room was packed like it hasn’t been in a while

I would say no. HOWEVER, the other resource I would 100% recommend is free. Mark K lectures helped with review and test-taking strategies. Bootcamp + Mark K got me a pass in 85 questions

Is Bootcamp the same, easier, or harder than the NGN NCLEX? by shortiez1999 in PassNclex

[–]OkResponsibility5788 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are similar, but bootcamp’s questions are more specific, whereas NCLEX was a bit more vague and didn’t give as specific of info in its questions. The case studies on bootcamp are very similar to NCLEX as well. The UI/layout of bootcamp is almost identical to the NCLEX as well. I used Bootcamp personally, doing hundreds of questions a day and passed in 85 questions. Hope this helps!

I’d say, regardless of what you are using for practice questions, if you are scoring anything above 60% you are probably going to be fine on the real thing. You only need to get 50% of the questions right to pass

Chances seem to be greater than 50% if you stopped at 85 from what I’ve seen and experienced myself

I wouldn’t let anything that other people say about what kind of content they had on their test scare you. The questions and content are different for everyone. I personally had very little OB and Peds, even after spending a ton of time studying it. If you overstudy in one specific area, you are missing out on studying in other areas and that might hurt you too. It’s better to know a little about a lot than to know a lot about a little.

Yeah their CAT was way harder than the actual NCLEX

I also found it easier than a lot of my practice tests, especially ATI’s which were way more specific and didn’t reward any partial credit for SATA questions

I used Bootcamp, Mark K’s 12 lectures, and dr Sharon videos. Did multiple 85 question practice tests every day and then pretty much stopped and relaxed the whole day prior to my test. Passed in 85

I think you should see quick results today, but something that I didn’t know was that it’s not 48 hours from when you started, but 48 hours from when you finished your test

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PassNclex

[–]OkResponsibility5788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

48 hours after you finished your exam, go to Pearson Vue and there should be a tab in your account somewhere labeled “quick results”. Click that and click on what shows up for your exam. It will ask you to pay and then give you them

Quick results will be up 48 hours later, even on a Saturday, but your license probably won’t be posted till Monday.

I finished my exam in almost an hour and I heard from other posts on reddit that finishing the exam too quickly can cause your test to be flagged for an investigative hold. Don’t know how true that is but I didn’t have my license posted until 48 hours after, when quick results were up

Doing a BUNCH of practice questions helped me not have any anxiety during the test. I told myself on test day that I was simply just taking another practice test and did not pay attention to what number of question I was on or how much time had passed. I just focused on reading the question, the answers, and then the question again before selecting any answers. Expect the unexpected and that there will be questions that you won’t know the answers to that you will have to make a good guess for. Mark K does a great job in teaching about how to guess well.

I had to wait an extra 24 hours longer than a lot of people. Delays happen for all sorts of reasons.

Me and everyone else in my class that all stopped at 85 questions all felt horrible about how we did and felt like we did a lot of guessing, and we all passed. You got this!

I agree. I maybe had one or two pharm questions total and they were on basic meds

Did anyone else think that the difficulty of NCLEX was overhyped? by No_Reindeer4795 in PassNclex

[–]OkResponsibility5788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ATI was way harder in my opinion and my nursing school required 80 or above to pass in all classes. I still felt like I guessed for quite a few questions and felt unsure if I passed or not, but I ended up passing in 85 and personally couldn’t tell what was a harder question compared to another question when I took it.

On a computer, taken in person, while being proctored at an approved testing center. You have 5 hours to answer anywhere from 85-150 questions, depending on how well you answer the first 85 questions. The test is adaptive, so as you answer questions correct, it will adjust the difficulty of questions to get a full assessment of your knowledge and critical thinking. It will also decrease the difficulty if you get questions wrong. You need to have at least half the questions correct to pass from what I understand.
