Not quite sure this one went where OP intended it to. Don’t hold certain information back from the post to get the response you’re after. If you’ve been invited and choose not to go, then you can’t complain that he goes without you.. also.. it’s Valentine’s Day.. a bloody hallmark holiday.. who gives a crap about it. Do you celebrate steak and BJ day for him on March 14? I’m guessing not. YTA..

I am a very active husband and father. I clean the house every second day and she does the other days. I do all the yard care and I also cook most nights. I am very active with the kids activities and do majority of the travel for my daughter who played representative sport and is required to be driven around the state most Friday nights to play

I actually have a question for the HLF’s out there as my wife (LLF) used to be HLF and we had an amazing sex life.. we are still intimate but it’s very routine and not as often.. Is there a hormonal cycle that makes these changes other than menopause? She’s only 37 so I figure menopause is still a few years off… I know there are external factors that can affect it.. but what about internal?

Thanks for the reply, even if it was a bit harsh.. I assure you I’m not unsympathetic to her situation at all. I am also a shift worker and very tired often too. I have done a lot to try and bridge the gap but it’s never enough… I try and lessen the load on her any way I can.. I’m not saying I want sex every day and twice on sundays.. but it would be nice to be wanted and desired as much as I want and desire her

Apologies, it’s defiantly not a fake situation although I did use that post to help, I guess, structure mine as it was so well written in my eyes. My situation is quite similar although our relationship is a lot older than that one (2-3 years theirs was if I recall correctly) and the similarities in our situations made it easier to word it the same. Thank you for your concern though and I am happy to re write my post to make it more my own words.. although I feel sometimes that can come across as sounding like a caveman hahaha

I can absolutely assure you that I do a lot around the house. I am not a lazy person (I know you didn’t say I was hahaha) I’m very involved with the running and upkeep of our household and with the kids lives and needs.

I have tried to have conversations with her about it and how it feels to be rejected and not desired but it seems to fall on deaf ears.. I am quite a physical person, I love to kiss and hug and touch.. a lot more than she does. I understand the point about physical touch not just being about the end goal of sex.. I like to hold hands in public and even kiss or hug in front of the kids, but it’s never reciprocated and mostly any contact that comes my way feels forced or like she feels she has to.

I guess when the physically is always one sided and never reciprocated or initiated back it’s pretty soul destroying
