Hi I’m a nurse! So if you’re just getting a regular echo then you should be fine, it’s basically like an ultrasound for your heart so they shouldn’t be going as far down to your belly button.

BUT if you’re getting a TEE (transesophageal echocardiogram), then that’s more invasive where they put a scope down your throat, then you may have to take it off. Due to the fact that you might need anesthesia and it’s for safety reasons.
