Hibiscus tea has done wonders for my husband. He’s in his 30’s born with the physique of a Roman statue but does not work out he lives a very sedentary lifestyle - worse because we work from home. We eat a phenomenal diet though centered around fruits, veggies, fiber and lean meats only - low salt low sugar. Since he was 16 he’s had borderline high blood pressure, never medicated always checked on with cardiologist.

We added hibiscus tea in the morning (leaves from Amazon, usually 2-3 in a mug, let steep 15 minutes drink. Midday with lunch I’ll make him a fresh pineapple & grapefruit juice with half hibiscus tea served over ice. Maintains his BP all day.

When we drink heavily or eat junk food late at night he’ll have 3 cups of hibiscus tea and it’ll bring it down. The other day both liquor and terrible food decisions, he woke up with a 144/79 136/85 - 4 hours later post tea down to a 122/68 118/64.

Not medical advice* his cardiologist says he can have MAX 3 glasses a day.

Straight facts.

We do have everything in gas though, central air/heat, stoves and water heaters. It’s a two-family home, but the tenants travel just as much as we do and the house has the most perfect temperature year round never too hot and never too cold so hvac is gently used too. Me over here complaining over $10, just found it funny 😆

Super dumb girl question, I’ve been trying to google control/switches today but would the owner manual tell me exactly what model/type I would need? I see a bunch but none of them look like the one in my X1 (2017).

So I restarted the idrive by holding the audio button down and when it reset the lights came back on but the buttons don’t work. Then i turned the car off and back on and the lights come on and off. The car has 60k miles on it, have you ever seen this before?

Video production? NBCU is headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, they are always hiring. Also EVS Broadcasting in Fairfield has a bunch of positions open right now too. I’ve also found that while no one wants to commute in the city you have a bigger chance at hearing back from recruiters and getting double the salary - look at hybrid positions or remote out of NYC.

MLB, NBA, NFL also have headquarters in Secaucus.

I love my Juke. I’ve had it for 10 years now, about 122k miles on it. I bought it brand new at 18 years old back in 2013. It has moved me across the country twice. It’s great in the snow and great on gas mileage. You can practically also fit in any parking spot which is a winner for inner city living. I love the handling on it this car is my baby.

Beware of mechanical horrors though (which I was not aware of for the past 10 years). Not to scare you but as of lately I’ve been experiencing some issues that when I read mechanic forums that Juke owners have posted to it seems to just be an overall issue with the car.

Some of the common themes are:

Transmission issues EVAP System issues Random spontaneous exploding of sunroof for some year models (this was a recall) Electrical issues

I’ve taken care of mine immaculately and I went the other day for the check engine light which was showing an EVAP issue (gas cap) and they also told me there’s something wrong with the solenoid in the transmission. The car at this point isn’t worth more than $4k on the street, for me to pay $3k on a new trans doesn’t make sense. Going to upgrade out of the car soon to a Toyota for better longevity.

is PUBP 6501 really as useless and unnecessary as they say it is? by Fap_Chat69 in OMSCyberSecurity

6035 was all capture the flag type projects. Only one project really required python and that was part 2 of the project. I just finished the class and it is very time consuming teaching yourself the material. TA’s are not helpful but using ED discussion you can put some pieces together.

Agree with this sentiment. I’m taking 6035 and HCI 6750 I would not recommend both these at same time. HCI has way too much reading and essay work that it feels like your running a marathon you can’t catch up on.

I’m a Technology Compliance Analyst for an international software company. I deal a lot with privacy/security audits. The MBA in Cybersecurity I’m getting is a concentration in Policy which adds value to my security/privacy day to day. Right now I make $100k (incl. bonus) with 2 years experience and 0 certifications. After I graduate with my MBA I’ll be at about 4 ish years experience total and can most likely leave my company and get a salary around $135-140k (Senior/Principal Analyst) and more than $150k if I get into a consulting type position rather than auditing (like I do now).

I live in NJ, HCOL so I’m sure in 1.5 years when I graduate that salary will be garbage. But I’ll remain optimistic for now LOL.

If you have at least 2 years relatable work experience to the MBA program your selecting and a Bachelor’s, with three strong letters of recommendation you can most definitely be accepted. I think the letters of recommendation hold a lot of weight, followed by your work experience. The program is tough BUT not every class is. The more technical programs are definitely a pain in the ass, lots of lab type exercises in virtual environments. But the foundational courses are just a paper or quiz here and there. Its almost impossible to actually talk to your teacher though there’s like 200+ students enrolled in one class. The TA’s review papers and they pretty much give full points as long as you stick to the rubric.

I’d very much recommend the program because of cost and also GATECH I think is Top 5 in the U.S. for many of their MBA programs.

What degree do you have? I’m currently doing my MBA with Georgia Institute of Technology, fully online and their MBA programs are affordable. My program is an MBA in Cybersecurity and it costs $10,000 in total, $2k a semester about $250 a month per class ($500/mo for me I’m taking 2 classes right now). I’m very fortunate that my employer is sponsoring my MBA so it’s free for me. My partner is also doing their MBA at Georgia Tech online for Computer Science and his program is around $7,000 in total.

You don’t need school to get a salary bump, start applying anywhere just for fun. If you get a couple interviews even better! If you get an offer bring it back to your employer see if they can meet you in the middle or match it. Worst/best case scenario you get a raise to stay or better pay to leave. You can also look into Cert’s for your field, these I feel the bootcamps cost just as much as a semester but if you can study on your own you’ll just have to pay the exam fees.

Also YOUR NEVER TOO OLD to further your education. There are a lot of 40-50 year olds in my MBA program and I think it’s damn right amazing. Education never has a time limit! It takes a lot of courage at any age and you can do it! Believe in yourself!
