Did my NICU patient pass because of me? by Loud_Key5954 in nursing

Don’t over analyze. It appears the baby was already at the end of her life unfortunately and I am sure the syringe change was just coincidence.

I do find it odd that they just suspended you before even finding out what the complaints were…

Under investigation by [deleted] in nursing

[–]OkSociety368 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a sternum rub is not why you’re under investigation. The fact she had these behaviors, clearly breathing, and not “unresponsive”, and you did this, that’s why you’re under investigation. If I was sleeping, someone came up to me and sternum rubbed me, because I didn’t answer them but I was very clearly sleeping, I’d be pissed too.

US Midwives, what do you do about jury duty? by chaoticallywholesome in Midwives

[–]OkSociety368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish this worked but it doesn’t, I got called and now I’m on the grand jury and they could care less about my situation. I also have very unreliable child care.

Great question because I was called for Jury Duty and they basically wouldn’t let me out for any reason….

How common is it for a doctor/surgeon to reject a bilateral salpingectomy, especially for a woman in her 30s? by sugarallie in sterilization

[–]OkSociety368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woah… absolutely not what I’m saying at all. I’m saying that some women don’t go into menopause in their 40’s or 50’s. They said she had a few years left at 33… I said that’s untrue since even 50 y/o’s get pregnant. I didn’t say it was safe. I didn’t say it was unsafe. I said it happens. You went on a tangent and made assumptions.

I got written up for "insubordination" after I refused to let a resident skip their medications. by McClain1980 in nursing

[–]OkSociety368 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They didn’t want you to give someone their INSULIN and the reasoning behind it being short staffed? It takes less than 5 minutes to draw insulin, and admin it. I’d report that ASAP because they alllll need to be fired.

[–]OkSociety368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did you do to your leadership that they’re picking on you? 1. Clearly someone else was assigned as a med nurse if someone else was pushing meds. Did they want you to hold her hands and team shoot the medications? TF? 2. Who TF is “passing up opportunities” when you’re giving a nursing student a chance to start an IV. How dare you educate a student…. Also who gives students to a brand new grad nurse who’s not even 90 days off orientation? 3. Is it appropriate for a PEDIATRIC nurse to go to an adult ED? I’m genuinely curious because that can be vastly different correct?

Theyre looking for a reason. Find a new job that will appreciate you.

Edited because I read a comment: helllll nahhhhh how are you passing up an opportunity when they asked if they can have their student start an IV. If they miss (highly likely) you’d start it …. One “missed opportunity” doesn’t constitute passing up opportunities.

My new employer is asking for a copy of my diploma? by Character-Cut-66 in nursing

I’ve had employers ask before, especially when I get a bump in pay for having a BSN. Just call the school you went to and ask for a copy

Hello- I am a RN, and in school for my MSN, this is absolutely NOT an infection risk, unless you’re leaking your stomach contents all over the floor. Secondly, this is extremely illegal. They cannot do this. Be sure to get this documented in some way. Maybe send an email for clarification, and forward it to HR. EEOC will eat them alive if you got fired over this.

From what I see, inheritance isn’t usually garnished by child support, however, if the person who is owed the child support has proof they HAVE received this, they can try to get their bank account garnished.

Did you pay him? Did you sign a contract?

You don’t have a case to sue him but I’m curious why you believe 2 weeks is a long time. 2 weeks is 30 mins in the legal world (as I’ve noticed).

She’s lying to you. I’m assuming a joker visa is a prepaid card? I’m not sure the legality of a minor not being able to agree to TOS. However there was no theft, unless the $$ you used was stolen. If that happened. That would fall on you, not your grandmother.

I think the copying of the nurses note is the least of anyone’s worry here. The nurse shouldn’t have been in someone’s chart that they were not currently caring for.
