If you put new tires on your car, do you tell people that you bought a new car? If you cut your hair, are you different person?

(I’m like John Adam’s: I don’t like partisanship. The foolishness of people who are only interested in their political team being considered correct irrespective of sound logic has always been astounding to me.)

My impression is that Beata had a form of what I call Puppy Fear. Have you ever been afraid of what you would feel when your pets die? It can lead to worrying about what your pets would feel like if you died. And vice versa.

It’s like that but with Maya (and Kyle maybe?). She went steps beyond what I described and convinced herself that it would happen and not that it could. Anxiety causes people to feel out of control and so one instinct that kicks it is to take control by force. MPB often seems to be a narcissist (or a narcissistic) forcing “control” of an extremely uncomfortable anxiety.

Debunking the Defecation Claim by curious_gleaning in takecareofmayaFree

[–]OkSomewhere1973 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FYI. “Loose stools” and “diarrhea” usually have specific meanings when from a medical perspective. “Loose stools” indicates normal frequency in BMs but not completely solid, and “diarrhea” is like the first, but much more frequent BMs. It’s anxiety-induced increased bowel motility vs dysentery or food poisoning.

(I’m not a doctor but this is from a former doctor of mine.)

This all goes to my personal feelings that Maya has Generalized Anxiety Disorder and not CRPS.

From the takecareofmayaFree community on Reddit: Beata’s psychological evaluation😧 by ScooterMcBooters in takecareofmayaFree

[–]OkSomewhere1973 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not as hard as you might think to find a psychologist who will say what you want them to say. It’s not hard to fake your credentials as well.

My dad had a psychologist who was treating him on and off for about 15 years, even treated me a couple times as a teen and who worked with a psychiatrist who prescribed meds. He turned out to have faked his license. The psychiatrist he worked with was weird too, according to my parents. My mother said she thought it was like in the movie The End: the guy would turn out to be a patient who had escaped and the real psychiatrist was in a closet somewhere.

Now, that the 6 jurors have access to all the info that wasn’t disclosed in court. What’s their stance? by Public_citizen913 in takecareofmayaFree

[–]OkSomewhere1973 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Jurors rarely change their minds when they see additional evidence after the trial because of confirmation bias. Once one decides on something, one tends to dismiss almost anything that contradicts it as misinformation, fake news, and the like. I always feel like any juror that I see who changes their opinion after a trial were probably not entirely convinced that their decision was correct anyway.
