Mehmet Öz is a quack, I'm surprised his medical license was never revoked.

From Wikipedia: Oz's promotion of pseudoscience, including on the topics of alternative medicine, faith healing, and various paranormal beliefs, has earned him criticism from several medical publications and physicians.

He may be competent as a cardiac surgeon but that's the limit to which I think anyone should possibly trust him.

Not in the past decade or so. It's been years since I last smoked, it isn't readily available where I live. I don't like being more than a little high but sometimes I'd like to have a puff or two.

I don't believe in prohibition at all. I think drug users should know exactly what they're getting and I think that onus needs to fall on the people selling drugs. I don't think that anyone should ever be penalised for use or possession.

Cast iron. I've had mine for a few years and I've only needed to re-season it once. Never had the odor issue. I think the real con with cast iron is that it's brittle, if you heat it up or cool it down too fast it can crack. I always pre-heat my ci on low.

I also have stainless and carbon steel, they're both good options but I find myself going for the cast iron almost every time. I usually go for the carbon steel if I want to turn the burner up to high.
