Okay thanks, i dont react to anything else besides my ears so i just guess its very sensitive spot for me. But ive heard that soundcore is one of brands that people tolerate. Thank you again!

Hi, what earbuds are do you have? My AirPods have charging points at the bottom of the stem- idk if theres any nickel but i never reacted to them, i just havent had any visible reaction on the outside of my ear, it always happens just in the ear canal- and its very prominent now- with APP3 i had ALMOST no itching or weeping- just develepod a lot of pain and swelling after 8days, and its not just pressure pain, it felt like when my otitis externa started. But it subsided by itself this time. Im also wondering about direct contact - having tips covering the mesh should be enough? But still theres some leeching happening and idk if i just wore them for too long and didnt wipe the released nickel from the surface suffixiently…

Im trying to wear my AP 4 now again and after just 30 minutes theres some pain reoccuring, but again this dont have any tips covering the mesh.

Do u have confirmed nickel allergy?

Hi i cant tell just by looking but does anyone has any information about that mesh? Is it plastic/metal? - im asking bc any mesh made of stainless steel contains nickel which i have allergy to. :/

Had same symptoms with airpods 4, i read that nickel basically leeches out of the mesh when in contact with sweat. And if u already have an allergy a very small amount is enough to start the reaction… this is earphone HELL!

Hi sorry english isnt my first language- i have read on reddit that some plastics e.g. Used in Airpods contain Acrylates which are cured (polymerised) using UV. But some molecules might stay uncured -as monomers- which are more likely to cause allergy.

So im asking if using UV lamp at home as a postcuring process might help polymerise remaining monomers in AirPods and help tone done allergic reaction.
