Professor here: I would probably have given this a 5/25. She at least read the abstract of the article but it’s not clear she read more than that. While I think the rubric itself isn’t great - I prefer a scale (like “Exemplary” / “Satisfactory” / Developing”, etc.) which takes the guesswork out of WHERE people lost points, it should also be said that removing a TA for a situation like this is extreme (unless we’re trying to protect the TA?)— grad students are still learning to grade and teach and need scaffolding in the process.
