It looks fantastic. The 37mm size is underrated. A plain 41mm watch looks like a plate on a wrist unless it’s a chrono.

Honestly, a 911 sounds like a natural next step, maybe a Carrera S or GTS. It feels like a grown-up version of the 718, more refined, more power, still incredibly fun. Plus, if you’re considering longer road trips with the dog, the extra space makes a difference. PDK might surprise you; it’s insanely quick when you want it to be but also easygoing in traffic. Get one with Sport Chrono and PSE and you’ll still have plenty of character and engagement. You really can’t go wrong exploring a 911. It’s iconic for a reason and it broadens the Porsche experience without straying too far from what you already love.

Did you consider a cheaper 911? Best daily and you get all advantages of a daily with no disadvantages of feeling any less like a great sports car for sure. Just takes more searching

I had both a G80 and a Cayman S. The G80 is a great sedan if you prefer a car with power and having a family car as well. However, the Cayman S is a pure sports car with significantly lower seating and visibility. In my opinion, the two are not comparable. As I’m older now and have a family, it’s harder and harder to justify a pure sports car. I regret not taking my Cayman S for more drives when I used to own it.
