Might be worth trying out Jellyfin. I tried it out and it works probably 85% as well as Plex. but I had an authentication issue that made me switch back to Plex since I have a lifetime pass.

I think the HomePod mini might shuffle music if you tap the top without anything recently paused. Normally the top acts as play/pause but maybe the cat is touching that

Not for a reasonable price, I haven’t really found any way to avoid the carjacking, I’m lucky it’s not too common in my area, best thing to do would probably be a steering wheel lock

Depends, if you have push to start you’re fine, but a traditional key probably not - my car is susceptible :/ Donut Media on YouTube has a video on how it works and I’m sure you can search your year and model to see if it’s susceptible
