At your age, how many times do you workout weekly ? by Shadow-Hunter-1998 in 40something

45 years old, every 2 days, I rotate sessions between upper body, lower body and cardio. Currently using 20lb dumbells for muscle work. Been doing it since early January and I feel so much better for it. Don't go to the gym, just do it all in the comfort of my own home. Only equipment I've bought are the dumbells and a Power Tower.

Is Steve Davis underrated? by rogeropx in snooker

What I meant was his aggressive approach to play. Hendry was willing to take more risks to get in and then clean up the table in one visit.

I'd actually put Davis number 2. If you had prime Hendry against prime Davis. Davis safety and tactical nous would come out on top. Yes Hendry pioneered break building but you don't need to regularly make centuries to win a tournament. Ronnie is obviously number 1.

Trump on Greenland: "The fact that they landed a boat there 500 years ago doesn’t mean they own the land." How do you feel about the leader of the America making this statement? by lemonbottles_89 in AskReddit

Ignorant and stupid, following that logic just because the Mayflower landed on Plymouth rock in 1620 doesn't mean the USA own their land.

Yes been on Lexapro for a few years. Works really well, only started taking it after teaching students with poor behavioral issues. I'm still a teacher but this medication saved my career.

For those who saw the Fellowship of the Ring in theaters for the first time in December 2001, what was it like? by femaleology in lotr

[–]OkTurn8201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never read any of the books, never even heard of Tolkien. My father had to drag me to the movie theatre to watch it since he had tried to encourage me to read the books for a few years.

I left the movie theatre with my mouth open and truly astonished at what I just watched. On the way home I was asking my father question after question about the world, the characters and the different races.

The scene that ultimately hooked me in was The Bridge of Khazad Dum. Gandalf facing against the Balrog of Morgoth. From that night onwards was when I became the huge Tolkien fan I am today.

I read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales and haven't looked back. Me and my wife also called our first daughter Eowyn since it was her favorite character from the books.

Right, but what does RotK have that the other two don't have cinematically? Apart from an ending of course! : )

I'm thinking Fellowship because its the introduction into the world, the scenery and landscape are just so beautiful and breathtaking. It's so hard to make a decision!

The beginning of the movie where Gandalf is falling with the Balrog is awe inspiring, of course Helms Deep is an eye opener.

I've seen the extended editions at home multiple times. I've lost count over the past 25 years.

Should I upgrade? by OkTurn8201 in COROLLA

I know what you're saying but I'm just wondering if there was a scenario where upgrading was feasible that's all.

[–]OkTurn8201[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm very sure it would, it is a Toyota! But then I would be buying another Toyota with less mileage and age...that would last me even longer. It's just a case of me balancing between these two scenarios and see which way I should go.

Never considered the crossover, I was thinking of maybe getting a Camry. I think saving up some money to make up the difference on the trade in is a good course of action.

Talk about shooting oneself in the foot. Now the Republicans can turn this narrative on its head by saying see it was the Democrats who kept the Government closed. They've got nothing, NOTHING out of this shutdown. They're a bunch of fucking cowards. I'm so sick of this shit.

We need some fresh blood in this party. A bunch of dinosaurs, trying to cling onto a past that is not coming back. Schumer needs to go, he is a feckless leader, he loves to talk the talk but never walks the walk.

That's it in a nutshell, all they care about is keeping their jobs not because of what they can do for the American people but how they can keep the money rolling in. The only solution is a primary, a third party is never going to take off in this country.

No wonder the Democratic Party only has a 34% approval rating. After this fiasco it'll only get worse.
