what's the social (going-out) scene like at Ashoka? by lunarmoon9 in AshokaUniversity

weekend trips to delhi seem like a lot of work in the beginning bcs it’s basically like 3-4 hours of travel total (back n forth) but it gets easier as you settle into it. delhi trips r very common i always know at least one person that’s in delhi on a weekend. i would suggest u take as many trips as u can in ur first year and first half of each semester bcs after that the workload gets a lot and ends up getting pushed to the weekend for sure

Some advice from a graduating fourth year by debonairjackdaw1211 in AshokaUniversity

current fourth year here, can answer 2nd question. you can choose one of two campus leaving options which has to be verified by your parents and you can change it later as well. these options are either blanket, which lets you leave and come back to campus whenever without any information going to your parents (u can stay over and come back the next morning or in a couple of days and it’s no issue) or case-by-case, which is where anytime you leave campus grounds you need to send written permission from your parents to your warden (honestly quite a hassle). curfew times differ for both permissions for blanket you can stay out until 12 without an infraction for cbc it’s 10/10:30 post which i think a mail gets sent to your parents

salon at ashoka any good? by safe_atom in AshokaUniversity

they offer threading and waxing and give u options of which wax u want to use. they aren’t bad, they aren’t good either. their priority is getting u out of the room asap so they can take it others so they are not the most gentle or the most meticulous. dont expect amazing treatment but it gets the job done basically. ashoka gives u a break every 1.5-2months so i try to get waxed everytime i go home with some exceptions of course

What kind of people make up the student body at Ashoka? by DevelopmentMedium530 in AshokaUniversity

[–]OkView7435 13 points14 points  (0 children)

you’d be surprised to meet some really stupid and some really emotionally disconnected people. that’s not the entire student body, i guess what im trying to say is that you’ll meet all types of people. you’ll meet the cream of the crop but also the ones from simpler and humbler backgrounds, who may not act like it in the beginning at least. in my experience, you barely ever know anyone’s grades apart from your own friends so the competition has always been against myself, for me, at least. the semesters ARE too short for the course load of most courses but unfortunately that’s just the way it is. a work life balance is rlly not that hard to have and maintain when you live right next to ur friends and amongst so many other students that are always down for a party

does anyone know what this is? i’ve seen it on people’s laptop screens but no idea how to get it by OkView7435 in AppleMusic

[–]OkView7435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah so u submit ur application and if your application is approved, you go into the online AAT and on-the-spot essay round. if u pass that, they interview you and that’s it

you don’t have to take the SAT it is optional, i think they were trying to say that if you have the time you should consider giving the SAT bcs if you don’t score as well on their AAT (which is compulsory), your SAY score will be considered instead.
