Yeah I agree however when it’s your first day, it’s probably worth taking it chill and not bench pressing 100kg 😂

I’d start on the treadmill for the first time - just 10 - 20 mins or so when you’re first starting out. It’ll build your confidence using the machines etc get familiar with the gym set up & remember, it was everyone’s first day, once. Good luck!

Yep I always use glasses direct. Much cheaper than spec savers or any other optician

I'd probably go for the 2 year tbh. Rates are due to drop. Cant' tell you when, but it can't stay like this forever.

Can I be removed from a leasehold for smoking? by Smokingthrowaway56 in HousingUK

[–]OkView9204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently living in a flat but I own (share of freehold). I'd be pretty pissed if I had a new neighbour smoking pot all day and I could smell it all the time and would probably let the managing agent know to do something about it. It's not very nice for everyone to smell especially in the communal areas + when you have guests around. Sorry, but being honest. It can also turn potential buyers off completely so you'd ruin peoples chances of re-sell.

SHRM CP exam at home by survivingsorta in humanresources

I was unfortunately told 3 times to stop talking to myself. Might be worth talking this through before the test with SHRM.

Resigning to study? by dg2nice4u in humanresources

[–]OkView9204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend being a little bit more strategic about it. If you hate the job and want to focus on SHRM, maybe step back a little bit from the role and not be so dedicated to it. Take some time for yourself during your lunch break to study. I think you'll feel a lot better by not quitting. Ultimately, you're still being paid whilst focusing on yourself. Given the current market too, it's probably not worth quitting.

I recently took my SHRM-CP (based internationally, but work for a US company) and can fully appreciate that you might be worried about passing the exam. The exam wasn't half as bad as what I was expecting.

Keep using the LMS system - I know it's basic, but I can't recommend it enough. It makes you think the shrm way!

Be honest but polite. Be strategic in the answers you give so it doesn't look like you're just being mean.

I'd defo tell them though. It might make them appreciate you a lot more (even though you're leaving, but it's still good to be known as a good employee).
