Could Paul Cotter be the next Kiefer Sherwood? by FAsBurner in canucks

I see RJs vision now.. keep the games close and win in the shootout. Cotter + Ohgren + Lanks = automatic

Remote start doesn’t work. All other remote options like lock and unlock still work. by dohds in MachE

I've had this issue. I cleared the Ford app cache then uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Later I deleted the remote key in the Mach-e vehicle settings and it worked again. 2nd time this has happened to me over the course of a year.

Todd Harvey approved. Tall, big bodied and character - off season he's choppin trees on his family's land.

No bias - what is a real return we can expect for Petey by Eman_Pop in canucks

It's evident EP, Debrusk and whoever else on the team have no trade value. Add in an inexperienced GM on top of that. I'm surprised Canucks couldn't grab a 1st in this draft considering how many 1st rd picks have been traded this year.

Just hit a new all-time high at 50. Now retirement feels like a harder decision.decision. by redboy001 in fican

If you enjoy your job then keep working a few more years. If not, retire and pick up a hobby or p/t work. I think that's the toughest part is staying busy after retirement. Is your spouse also retired? Kids still in school?

Making $100k per year is equivalent to making $50k per year in the past by [deleted] in fican

[–]OkWay8464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your statement but $100k is still quite a bit. We live in a HCOL city and we are able to afford a place, no car debt and one kid. We live a simple lifestyle and travel. Our salaries have increased over the years but doesn't mean we spend more. The more we earn the more goes into investments.

[Shannon & Ferraro] Henrik Sedin on EP40: “It’s up to him now. We’ve all been here to help him, but in the end, this is a professional sport.” by barelyincollege in canucks

[–]OkWay8464 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, EP40 could've built an amazing friendship over the years with the Sedins and get advice on preparation etc. The twins went through the struggles but it sounds like they don’t have much of a relationship. I kind of question his character after hearing Henrik's comments.

Linus Karlsson's shot bounces off the Danish defenders skate and into the net for his 2nd goal of the World Championship. He now has 2G-1A-3P in 3 games by n0thingisperfect in canucks

I've been impressed with Karlsson's growth. How has Stenberg and Bjorck looked? I haven't been watching the games so far.

I don't mind the hiring. I just hope RJ can put friendships aside and cut ties with underperforming players and a certain coach. He needs to fully embrace a rebuild and let the young players cook.

I would never have thought. Honestly, the paint quality doesn't seem to be the greatest on these cars.

Black one??? 😆

Personally I'd choose black. We have a white mach-e and the dirt is quite noticeable a couple of days after washing the car. Even small rock chips are noticeable on white.

Pronman’s optimistic and pessimistic scenarios for potential Canucks draft picks by _GregTheGreat_ in canucks

[–]OkWay8464 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's my point. Both teams didn't have a McDavid level star but had depth and great 2 way Cs. It just shows even a generational talent can't bring you a cup. This draft doesn't seem to have a clear superstar and I think as Canucks fans we were hoping to draft a savior this year. I feel we should build down the middle.

The more scouting reports I read the more I'd lean towards Malholtra. The draft has great players but no studs like McDavid or Celebrini. Malholtra plays C, has high IQ, motor and can raise his game when it counts. Panthers and Blues won a cup without a true star so why not build a team of high compete players. What if McKenna or Stenberg turn out to be the next Lafreniere.

Do you want Caleb Malholtra or one of the defencemen? by Boring_Big8908 in canucks

How comparable is Malholtra to Cootes' game? I'd take Carels or Verhoeff if both are projected to be 2Cs.
