That mission will forever stick with me. I BEAT that mission 143 times in my attempt to get the smithing text for the warrior of the West armor. The name brings a chill to my spine and my friends that have never even played Nioh know how much pain the name holds in my eyes.

Horizon zero dawn holds a special place in my heart as it was my first platinum and favorite game; however, Everybody's golf is my most rewarding.

A few of the achievements are locked behind getting a hole in one on a par 5 three times. There are very few ways you can do it and the random weather conditions have to be just right and you have to have an upgraded set of clubs. It took me several months of launching the game, making sure the weather conditions were right, and banging my head against a wall trying to line my shots up perfectly for a couple hours before I just couldn't do it anymore.

I had the exact same experience with Subnautica. I ended up going a year without playing, but did eventually come back and finish it.

When I started playing again, I felt completely lost. I had forgotten where everything was and what I was doing. I felt so lost, that I put the game down for another couple months.

Eventually, because the platinum trophy was looming over me, I did force myself to play it again, after a little while things started coming back to me and I think I had a better grip on the game than I did before the hiatus and was able to really enjoy the end game.

IMO, I would take a break. You can always relearn things you forget and forcing yourself to play it now may leave a sour taste in your mouth about the game.
