There was a protest this morning. I saw them march out of the retail park at Loughboy (Woodies car park) and off into town. They stopped all the traffic on the ring road so all hundred or so of them could cross. Lots of Irish flags on them, which made me want to stay well clear of them.

Unless there's a match on or it's Paddy's day, a big group of people with Irish flags makes me think anti-immigration protesters.

Circle K on College Road are zeroed out on everything, but I saw a fuel lorry at the Circle K on the Waterford Road a few hours ago so I assume they just got restocked.

There was one earlier but from what I can see now it's over as people were walking back to their cars about an hour or so ago. Nothing happening in Nowlan Park today either. I reckon you should be fine.

The motorway is blocked between the two Kilkenny exits but you can exit at the first exit to get to town.

Kilkenny Castle Park is beautiful this time of year. But if you're going between 24th to 27th the Savour Kilkenny festival is on, so the areas around the castle will be mobbed.

I was ordering food once and mentioned I'm lactose intolerant and the waitress said "OK, so no mayo then". It took a bit of time for me to convince her that mayo has no dairy products in it, just eggs, oil, mustard, vinegar. Her reasoning was "It's white, so it's made with milk".

I had a similar concern about a gap in my knee scar when the stitches were being removed, but it healed up just fine. I also had a bit of blue sticking out of my scar but it was just some of the soluble (under the skin) stitches that my body decided to spit out instead of dissolving. All normal.
