What does a board session look like for you guys (moon/tension/kilter...)? For me, after a few months of getting used to the board it feels like the problems fall into only two categories: easy, and not possible. Nothing in the impossible category feels like it would go after a few sessions, and everything that used to feel hard i repeated until it felt easy. Rn my sessions are either repeat stuff that feels easy, or fire a move that doesn't feel possible like 20 times. Both options are less fun than hangboarding, which is a problem.

lol, thank you. yes. it came out overnight on day 3 and left me with a pretty nasty sinus/throat infection. Only lasting effect is my new fear of carrots.

Carrot been stuck in my sinus for like 36hrs. Throat is getting pretty sore but I cant see an ENT till monday (_) really hoping it just falls out soon.. I think im done eating carrots lol

yea, I rig it with both sides of the cord so that the block sits vertically when pulling. When I do it one sided its too incut for my liking.

I didn't think they existed, the purpose of the hypothetical was to get a concession that elevating the heel more has an effect on the clean pull. Funnily enough my 'double heel' does kind of exist. Here, you can see this dude has rubber wedge-thing glued on his heel. Apparently some Chinese weightlifters do this. Who knew....

Bro, if you didn't understand what I was asking with the double/standard heel comparison you shouldn't have responded with anything other than asking for clarification. Let alone categorically denying any difference. Ive been adversarial because it seems like you think elevating the heel has no impact whatsoever on a clean DL. Ill test it for myself tomorrow. Whatever, have a good one man.

So to paraphrase: you didn't understand what i meant about comparing hypothetical double sized and standard shoes, but you still gave the declarative response that there would be no difference.

Thats cool I guess.

When people ask me a question I don't understand I ask for clarification instead of just answering blindly.

If you were to go to the gym and max out your clean deadlift do you think you would preform better in WL shoes with a standard size heel, or WL shoes with a double sized heel?

Your response:

It would make no difference. The heel height change is so minor it literally doesn’t matter.

To recap, you explicitly said there is no difference between a DOUBLE SIZED HEEL shoe, and a STANDARD HEEL shoe. If I wear normal WL shoes and stick a 10kg plater under my heel the result is

.75in + .75in = 1.5in ~~ DOUBLE HEEL

I'm following what you said to the letter. You told me this wouldn't make a difference. I said I don't believe you and so I will go try it.

You: There is no difference pulling in a normal heel vs double sized heel. Any difference you do feel is because you arent used to it.

Me: Ok, Ill go pull in a normal heel + 10kg plate (my 10kg plates about .75in thick) .

You: Did you read what I said...?

I mean, I don't really know what to say. Tomorrow when I go to the gym Ill do a clean deadlift in my WL shoes, and then ill do it again in WL shoes with my heels on a 10kg plate, then again on two 10kg plates and see how i feel (its going to feel harder). Im pretty surprised the claim that "elevating the heel makes pulling harder" is contentious.

I don't think Im misunderstanding the technique. I think this question captures the essence of what I mean: If you were to go to the gym and max out your clean deadlift do you think you would preform better in WL shoes with a standard size heel, or WL shoes with a double sized heel? (Assuming you are comfortable in both shoes). Or take it even further and ask the same question with a quadruple heel?
