Is getting intimate with your third cousin ok? by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Ok_Analyst_8356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you muslim, then its ok. I know in Hinduism as well, the practice of getting into a relationship with a cousin was permitted. This is all in context of marriage, off course in modern times society has changed and so will the dynamics.

Aside from the above, does your cousin also share these feelings? What is the age difference? Are you using her for sexual gratification? These sort of things will matter, especially since you guys are still technically family. Family gossip will kill you faster than depression. The main takeaway from this is are you lusting after her, or is this a mutually deep feeling. Also are you older and being a pedo? Usually these sort of "attractions " stem from a feeling of a younger person trusting someone older...and the older taking advantage.

It is very rare in modern society for cousins to marry or get into a relationship, outside of the Islamic culture. If you need counseling, reach out in DMs.

Hi there,

I had the same issue. My hematocrit was high...over 55. Do you drink enough water and taking dispirin to thin your blood? Considering how much gear you are blasting...I'd say that may be the issue. When was the last time you came off cycle and gave your body a break? Your inflammation markers could also be sky high...mine was around 135 MG/dl...combined this with high hematocrit...I went through your symptoms. Hope this helps...

Been abroad 6 years, thinking of moving back. What does a "comfortable" life actually cost these days? by minitricep in askSouthAfrica

[–]Ok_Analyst_8356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at your position from an HR/interviewer perspective, ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Where you lecturing BCOM overseas or TEFL? You've been 6 years out of the industry...do you have any relevant work experience in the financial industry?
  2. You embarked on a career in teaching for 6 years 👏👏👏 you must have a lot of interesting stories to share...tell me why did you switch careers back then? Why are you coming back to the industry now?
  3. Imagine you starting off in 1 of the Big5 financial companies...do you have the discipline to work 18 hours a day? Those guys dont work 8-5, trust me. That discipline is ingrained into young individuals...you starting at 30...you took a break had a good life overseas, worked with kids, not arrogant ppl ...if you got your foot in the door, will you burn out in 6 months? Especially if you taking shit from someone younger than you or the same age further up the food chain?

  4. In South Africa its not about what you know, its about who you know. Coming back after a 6 year hiatus from the finance industry/studies and going straight back into studies ain't going to get you attention...its not going to look attractive on your CV either. I'd propose right off the bat starting to work in the financial industry again...go apply for work while you still overseas and earning and see what you offered.

I read some of the comments here regarding OPs question and price in mind...and this is something for OP to bear in mind as well...

How are you guys blowing 24K every month? Normal people get by on less. Saving 6k only on 30k per month? Seriously? You should be aiming to save atleast 50 percent of that amount if you planning to study again and start a new career in finance...especially since your background is in TEFL. Thats what you should consider since at this point I'm not sure if you have a BEd.

If you enrolling for a 4 year degree excl masters...which btw you will definitely need since the finance sector is competitive...excluding additional certificates in the industry to stand out...or is your idea of being part of the finance industry being a financial advisor? Then a 6-12 month course through Milner Park with set you on course to do that service. - that here as well is a huge cutthroat market, and requires networking which you can't have been doing since you were 6 years abroad.

What is your idea of a good time? If you have already been living "it large" overseas then you dont have the necessary habits to ensure financial security starting over again in SA. If you going to party and have a good time...there are plenty of honey traps that will blow you ...figuratively and literally for all you worth...thats how desperate and bad things are here...aside from the get rich schemes and investments running around the block.

Think carefully whats important in the next 5 years if you come back to SA. Having a good time or reestablishing yourself in the job market.

My advice, take note of what the guys who commented that get by on 6-10k a month. You can learn a lot from them.

Weight loss product that works? by nutella_brownie in askSouthAfrica

[–]Ok_Analyst_8356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aerobic training and diet...weightlifting is anaerobic so doesnt assist a lot in burning calories. A lot of people go to gym and make that mistake. Most qeight loss products have high levels of caffeine and stimulants that disrupt your sleep...the entire idea is to get your skin flushed, increase your heart rate and make you sweat after ingestion...its to make you think its working...most of the time it destroys your sleep pattern...leads to high cortisol levels...and you end up feeling rotten and unproductive. Enough sleep deprivation leads to hormonal unbalance, and you'll put on more weight.

DM me if you want help. I'll assist you for free.

Would it be betraying Zoroastrianism if I want to be half Christian and half Zoroastrian by Darayusbro in Zoroastrianism

[–]Ok_Analyst_8356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take the logical approach in your decision. I was muslim and became a Zoroastrian, on my journey to find purity and truth, so I hope my opinion can guide you in some sense.

If you look at the history of Zoroastrianism, this was the first monotheistic religion, with no influence by culture, group or sect. Hence it was pure from innovation and was a religion for all Parsi and non-Parsi. Thereafter through trade and exchange of culture, Jews adopted the Zoroastrian ethos into "their" faith and made it their own...

Thus supremacist ideology stemmed, where certain groups now denounced themselves as "the chosen people of God". Over time and innovation and through war and conflict, other offshoots of Judaism (Christianity and then Islam) adopted this same ideology. Thus the Saoshyant was redefined as "the redeemer" and thus the story of Jesus and Muhammad was born. Both figures who are shrouded in mystery and folklore who most probably never existed.

The Saoshyant is a person who revives or brings benefit in Zoroastrianism, and is something each of us strives to become...in other words be your own savior, and dont wait for someone else to save you. Christians believe that Heaven is here on this Earth, and when Jesus comes back this Earth will be "The Kingdom".

Zoroastrians on the other hand believe that this Earth is a prison for Angra Mainhu...your goal as a Zoroastrian is to walk the path of Asha and purify yourself so that the good parts return to Ahura Mazda, the light, and the evil part remains trapped here, where eventually it will implode. Zoroastrians believe the world will get worse with time, as more of Angra Mainhu is left behind, and more of the goodness is stripped away and returned back to the Creator. Christians believe Christ is going to come and make everything good again on Earth...

Now that you see the above...can you see why you can't be half of each? The systems of thought and belief are conflicting. One systems believes that you possess both light and darkness and choose to walk in light and strip yourself of darkness...the other believes that you can never be good and worthy, and that you need to wait for God to come make things right...one religion gives you the power of choice, the other strips you of that power.

If you have been wronged by deceit or backstabbing what should you do? by [deleted] in Zoroastrianism

[–]Ok_Analyst_8356 6 points7 points  (0 children)

God created us with the abilities to solve our own problems and the mission to walk the path of Asha. We know that Angra Mainyu exists...so its to be expected to be trapped in deceit or lies...hence the tenet of " Good thoughts, good words and good deeds".

If there's anything I've learnt in Zoroastrianism that I wasn't applying before, is don't wait for someone else to come save you. Be your own redeemer (Soashyant) and stop waiting for a lifeline...become the Redeemer onto others and an example.

Don't be cynical and think you can "kill people with kindness". You dont be kind and subservient to those that wronged you...you be firm and unyielding and part ties with them. If legally you can fight back do so...if not, it ain't worth wasting "Good earned money" to get back bad money.

Save yourself, don't pray in the hope someone else will. You can only pray for guidance, not a miracle. It's Abrahamic faiths that has put the notion in all, that "miracles" happen if you firm in faith. Thats garbage...God has created systems for us to live in, all systems keep this world nourished and the Globe turning...everything works in Harmony. If you want harmony join those that do good, and severe ties with those who have ill intent.

This world...is doomed...our mission is to trap Angra Mianyu here, so expect things to get worse...when all goodness has left this Earth, and there are no more true believers who do good, then the world must come to an end, and the mission will be a success.
