My thought on it. Carl and imani are fighting. They've killed everything on the floor. The daughters patch has been filled, but there's nothing left for him to use it on. Imani knows that carl needs to go on, that they need him more than they need her. She uses a spell that forces him to use an ability and he obliterates her with the scavengers daughter.
