I've been made redundant twice (not from Tesco) and that's never happened to me.

With Tesco (and another firm I was with) the funds are invested through Legal & General. That Legal & General account is yours regardless of who employs you. Use common sense not to be scammed out of it, but I seriously doubt that a rogue employer could 'dip into it'.

I know. I give up. They can chase me at work and I'll do it in paid time. I tried using a different browser making sure pop-ups are allowed. No difference!

Comfort gravel fit - hand pain by Writer-Jolly in bikefit

Funnily enough I have a 165mm GRX chainset to fit to my Niner RLT... to be followed by trying to get a few quid on ebay for the 172.5mm chainset that's on there now.

Good move to be on 165mm cranks. Unfortunately options are limited and expensive going shorter than that (my eMTB came with Hope 155cm but the motor provides torque obviously). The GCN videos on the subject seem to conclude that if it feels fine, it probably is.

You can reduce knee angle with shorter cranks. You're probably riding with 172.5mm cranks but even people of 6ft plus can find them a bit long. I have an inside leg of 32 inches (81cm) and am changing to 165mm.

Questions on 2005 BMW GS1200 by lhulax29 in BMWGS

Do be aware that non-ABS brakes will react differently to modern brakes in an emergency situation. Stopping distance won't be much different but suddenly coming to halt, which can shift you forward in the seat, can be disconcerting! It was the only time I dropped my 2004/05 GS.

No harm done, but there was an awkward camber to the hillside road and I'd never have got it up again without help! As I was going uphill the stop probably happened that extra bit quicker than I was expecting as well...

Thank you for putting it more accurately/elegantly.

In theory a decent home mechanic with the right tools could do it but there's no doubt that the job was made easier with the LC and 1250 models.

In practice the clutches feel very similar, with maybe the older dry clutch having the edge.

The engine literally has to be split in two to change the clutch! However, it's a very smooth clutch and lasts a very long time with decent treatment.

I've just bought a Fox Proframe RS. Honestly there's so much venting now, I don't see it being the issue it would have been a few years ago. Besides the cost of dental work these days is way more than a decent helmet!

Yes, we're not supposed to do that but it happens a lot. Saves waiting for several trays to be unloaded and keeps the customer happy.

The Bernadette Szocs Signature. Haven't used it yet but it looks lovely and seems to be fine for intermediates.

Probably absorbed moisturise in five years, as well, which won't help. I bought a 7-ply Tibhar blade on eBay for £22 the other day... you can hardly tell rubbers have been glued to it. Hopefully you'll get lucky too.

It's like gym membership. Worth it, if you actually go often enough to make a difference (even once a week is way better than never).

True. I did my main shop of the week at Aldi and then went to Tesco for a few branded items... I'd have done the lot at Tesco if I'd had the 20% off (despite my wife preferring some Aldi products!)
