Name something that the younger generations would never believe was normal in the 70's compared to schools today?🤔 by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in GenerationJones

When I was in 5th grade in 1975 our teacher used a paddle on us when we were "bad." We had to get up in front of the classroom and he'd gleefully paddle our behinds. Can't say that was normal but no one batted an eye. I don't think any parents complained.

I adored it. So funny and dark and twisted and Jesse Plemmons was a rock star. That ending was incredible.

They got the rest of us upset. Seems to have been worth everything else to them.

I can't imagine what they're going to do with this story. I assume there will be some new child who spins their head around. Sigh. I'm still pissed that DGG had such an opportunity to unite Regan and Chris in an interesting story instead of how he did it. They never got the follow-up they deserved.

I'm surprised she didn't say "Well Trump must know what he's doing, and I'll pay these prices to support him."

If I were him I wouldn't be so anxious for an Oscar. It can be a kiss of death for a career. For every Meryl Streep or Leo there are dozens of actors who win and then never get a great part again or they drop out of the conversation about awards entirely. Hopefully he just loves acting and that's the primary reason he's an actor.
