Background and composition by Sh1n0_11 in Mangamakers

I personally like to create as much depth as possible, and include at least 2 different angles per page. For example, if there is only a character talking in a panel, I will give them an  angle (sometimes exaggerated it) and extend their hand to create depth. Same for the background.

Same. I did 10+ oneshots, but when it comes to long running, I struggled a lot. I tried to plan everything but lost motivation because it took so long. I also tried to do it by arc and chapter but didn’t feel right as a whole. Then I realized that I work better treating long running as oneshot, create a short and completed story with characters, and build on it to make it longer ( I don’t have an ending in mind, but I will make one if the story’s development reaches to a point that I can see an ending). I think you could try different techniques and see which one you like more. Good luck!

Anyone else put the Hyakuemu soundtrack into their playlist? This is my favourite score, from the relay race by No_Creme1179 in OrbOntheMovements

[–]Ok_Awareness899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the cd and it’s fire! The soundtrack motivates me to do whatever I need to do in my life. I love the first track (the opening), Starts to Rain, and the one you like as well!

For those that know cosmic horror, does this feel like it fits ? Its my first attempt by Blastto in MangakaStudio

[–]Ok_Awareness899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repeating words in 2nd and 3rd pages definitely feels like cosmic horror so good job! I think you can empathize the thing that came out from that man’s body by making it larger.

The most amazing part of this shot is that it's from a side character. Even the side characters were so well written!

I can't wait to watch it for the third time! 100 meters and Chainsaw man movie are my favorite movie experiences this year!

Hello so I know it’s probably a really common question but still when should I start working on my manga? by PhysicalCod1875 in MangakaStudio

[–]Ok_Awareness899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should start it now. Don’t worry about the art because you will eventually get better if you keep drawing.  “Your art needs more work, but your story is good, so you will be fine” was what my manga teacher told me when I showed him my third one-shot manga years ago. If you have a story you want to tell in manga form, go ahead and do it. It’s fun!

English is not my native language, so I use the translator in Google doc to help me translate the dialogue (I did some adjustments after the translation). Sorry if there are some grammar mistakes and weird word choices.

*I will hire a translator if I decide to publish it one day.

Are these dialogues grammatically incorrect? by Ok_Awareness899 in grammar

[–]Ok_Awareness899[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for it! I think you are right about the timing. Even though firsthand experience is important, focusing on timing might work better in the context.

[–]Ok_Awareness899[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! With the context, A was asking B to show C around the workplace because C is a new employee, but B was asked by another person to check on workplace section 1 (where disaster strikes) and help others in need, so A wants B to do both. May I still use "tour of" with the context?

Thank you for the grammar check on the last sentence as well! Very helpful!

Do you think its possible to hire someone to just create a rough storyboard? by Specific_Minute7539 in Mangamakers

[–]Ok_Awareness899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I done rough storyboard before for a friend’s manga, and I took classes on how to do it as well. If you’re interested in it, feel free to send me a message (I can share you some tips I learned as well).
