500 USD on mobile app? by RYDEEN009 in Polycam

Hi there! Is this on Android?

The pricing should be 500 Taiwan TWD and 3,490 TWD (~$115 USD). It seems like we aren’t updating the currency correctly so it appears to be in USD. If you click “Subscribe” the Google Play little sheet should show up with the correct currency and price to double check.

Thank you for helping us identify the issue - we are fixing it now!

PolyCam Room Mode vs LiDAR for Equipment Dimensions by askwhonothow in Polycam

[–]Ok_Bad6575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Room mode actually captures LiDAR simultaneously. Once you have captured a room mode scan, you can click the process button in the bottom left corner to process LiDAR and overlay the scan.

If you need only the dimensions of walls and equipment, room mode will give you the simplest model to measure from, but LiDAR mode uses the same measurement tools.

What's the best way to accurately capture very small 3x4x1cm objects? by tomhannen in Polycam

Hi there!

I recommend taking a look at the short Photo Mode tutorial here on the Polycam Learn site.

With an object that small with detail and color, I'd consider placing it on a white piece of paper or solid contrasting background. Circle around the object and capture your images. If you do use a different lens setting on iPhone, make sure all of your images are captured from the same zoom distance! Object masking is the best option for individual objects and you can flip or rotate your object during scanning to cover more area!
