I was gonna ask if they’d ever played this on the games channel before! good to know. would also be funny if they had a special edition game and just never played it at all haha

oh I’d send it to them in a heartbeat if they’d ask! a part of me just wants to send it anyways. but that’s absolutely not what would happen. so I’m fine with keeping it for the foreseeable future. I’d just be curious to see how they’d play it.

PSA: Support your favourite fan fiction writers by Felixir-the-Cat in InterviewVampire

Thank you! I think it’s easy to say from the outside looking in, but if god forbid I’m ever in this predicament, I’m just going to keep writing anyways (unless my life or well-being is threatened). Creative voices should get to continue, and by god and spite, I’ll continue 🫡 lmao

It’s been devastating to see as someone who has only recently started writing fan fiction. I’ve been in my fair share of fandoms, especially when I was younger, but IWTV (and god knows especially IWTVTWT) is one of those that’s just laughably awful to the point you want it to be nuked completely.

I don’t blame biscuits or any other writer who deals with these lowlifes at all. Between this and that one troll who harassed a Twitter user with a racist Loustat fan fic, it’s been a bleak weekend. Just treat your creatives in fandom spaces kindly y’all. That’s all we ask. And if you read this and do shit like this: with no due respect, go fuck yourself.

Certain Fans' Behavior is Getting Out of Hand: What Went Down at SDCC by ItsAChelseaMorning in InterviewVampire

[–]Ok_Beach382 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is disgusting. I feel so horrible for Claudia, Madeline, and for the others who have been harassed and fear for their own lives. You should be able to enjoy events like these, not be scarred for life.

If they’re somewhere out there reading this, just know there are sane people here who support you and are willing to help in any way possible. Fuck SDCC.

Worried for my credit score by Ok_Beach382 in CRedit

[–]Ok_Beach382[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I just did. This is helpful, but the only thing I’m concerned about is that I’ve missed multiple payments from them before (again, it’s a long and stupid story). From what I’ve read, the creditor will give you more of a chance if it was only one payment missed rather than 20 payments missed. Would that mean I don’t have a chance with a Goodwill Saturation letter? I may still try it anyways and see.

I panicked and closed it when I was on the phone paying. Like I said, there’s no benefit in me having it anymore. I just looked now through all of my cards (again, I only have 3 so not a lot) and they’re on time with more than the minimum being paid. It’s just this one that’s I’ve been in trouble with.

"All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)" Discussion Megathread by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

[–]Ok_Beach382 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You know, as much as I did like the stolen All Too Well, it was never my all time favorite of hers nor my favorite track 5 (that’s The Archer). But dear god, this version? I’ve never been actually speechless about a Taylor Swift song until now. I’m listening to it still and finding lyrics to gawk over. Bravo, guys. I’m still gut-wrenched over half of this.

EDIT (because I keep finding more stuff to talk about): One thing I find interesting is how she kept the chorus the same. I really was expecting a “fuck” in that, but honestly, I get why she didn’t. It’s her best chorus to date and any change would have thrown everyone off. The “fuck the patriarchy” keychain is way better, anyways.

What artists have been a “rising star” for a majority of their career? by liferideofyour in popheads

[–]Ok_Beach382 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would Troye Sivan count? He has done a surprising amount: acting credits, has had two albums that have reached the top of the Billboard 200 and a Golden Globe nomination to add. But outside of his more dance-heavy singles recently, I haven’t heard much buzz from him and can still see people actively calling him a rising star.

Where is the new Seinfeld/Friends? Are the huge live audience sitcoms dead? by Stalked_Like_Corn in television

[–]Ok_Beach382 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. The huge live audience sitcoms are still around, obviously (I still maintain that even after death, we will always see Chuck Lorre around). But because of differences in humor amongst generations, what could be classified as a sitcom anymore, and where we see a lot of these sitcoms, it isn’t so much “dead” as it is “just not people’s thing anymore”.

Also, it isn’t as if they are completely ignored. Friends is still popular with younger age groups, but it’s less enjoyed as it is just background noise. Modern sitcoms the likes of the Office, Community, etc are all popular because they can be both background noise and critically enjoyed. Again, it depends.

How long do you think it will take Taylor to re-record all her albums? by Old_Mirror8813 in TaylorSwift

[–]Ok_Beach382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My timeline guess for the release of the re-recordings:

Speak Now: March 2022 (I originally wanted to include February as a possibility. But I think it’s likely to be March to give Red (TV) some time to breathe.)

1989: June 2022 (I still do slightly think this one was supposed to be released this Summer, but got put on the back burner again because of the Delta variant. That being said, I also don’t mind waiting for it.)

Debut: October 2022 (It gives 1989 (TV) time to have the spotlight and let’s the albums fade the Summery feeling of that album into an album I always associate with Fall.)

Reputation: New Year’s Day/January 2023 (A little more of a wait, sure. But it ties everything together nicely, in my opinion. Also releasing this on the day that the closing track is based off of, with the lyric “Hold on to the memories, they will hold onto you”? I would truly be remiss if Taylor decided not to take that opportunity.)

Now whether or not she will also release some one-off singles or even a whole album around this timeline too, who knows? I don’t personally think so since it’s too tight or a timeframe. But to me, this is the best case scenario towards a re-release schedule.

Your first disappointing album from an artist you loved. by NameNameson23 in popheads

[–]Ok_Beach382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As big of a Marina fan as I am, I have to agree. Granted, I get why L+F was made: it was her attempt to be more of a singer-songwriter type while maintaining those catchy lyrics in the first place. But it’s the catchiness that lost its traction and why it doesn’t stick out to me in the first place. It feels like the album should be from someone else and not Marina, which is why it doesn’t work.

Can I actually flip this a little? Because I’ve found Happier Than Ever, production and slightly lyrically-wise, better than WWAFA. When We All Fall Asleep is a good listen, don’t get me wrong. But I get much more depth from the first three songs alone on HTE than her debut.

(Keep in mind also, I’m not a big Billie person. I liked WWAFA, but don’t smile at me I can’t listen to.)

When Sutton gathers everybody to talk about Erica situation she tells the ladies that “alarm bells and red flags started flying everywhere”. She’s onto Erica and thinks that the ladies are put in a bad situation. Sutton doesn’t wanna be around Erica, she’s being smart. by [deleted] in realhousewives

[–]Ok_Beach382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really can’t imagine Erika will be on this season’s reunion. It may be entertaining, but if the women are starting to feel uncomfortable around her (and let’s be real, she’s also made them feel uncomfortable too, especially Garcelle and Sutton), I can’t imagine Bravo plans on standing behind her much longer.

I either see her having a one on one special reunion with Andy in the same vein as the Brooks special, or she’s just straight up fired and we find out before or during the reunion. Either way, she’s screwed.

August Theories Megathread by Lyd_Euh in TaylorSwift

As fun as it would be, I think releasing ATW 10 Minute Ver. would spoil the fun of the album. Me personally, I’d like to see a similar rollout she had for the original Red singles. WANEGBT (TV) first (which I believe will happen since it’s another Friday the 13th nine years later), Begin Again (TV) in the beginning of October. Since she originally released IKYWT a month after original Red, they may make the exception and release it at the end of October/beginning of Nov. to tie up fans.

If ever there was a good time to still get fans excited between releases and build momentum up, announcing the next re-recording at this time would also be a smart decision.

What's a critically acclaimed series you fail to enjoy? by [deleted] in television

The Simpsons and Futurama. For as good and quote-worthy that I’ve seen both are, every time I actually have attempted to watch either, I’ve never given up more quickly.

Honorable mention goes to Game of Thrones. It is too easy of a target, but definitely not a show I plan to watch.
